Pale leaves, spots appearing

Problem: Gradual change of leaves to lighter green over a week or so. A few brown spots appearing at the edges. Growth has been normal.

Medium/grow method: Coast of Maine soils. Sprout Island seed starter in the center, about a liter. Stonington mix in the remainder of the 5 gallon fabric pot.

Feed: and supplements used: Have only used RealGrowers Recharge, once day 7

water source: Initially 50% straight tap water, 50% tap through Brita filter. Checked pH with litmus paper, it was around 7. Recently checked TDS of that mix - 200. Water quality report shows hardness of 175, treated with chloramine. I had been leaving water out 24hrs, but apparently chloramine doesn’t evaporate like chlorine.
The last few days I’ve switched to ZeroWater + tap, TDS 40, pH 6ish.

Strain/age: Sweet Seeds Cream Caramel Auto. 13 days from sprout

light used: Viparspectra XS1500, about 60% power, 23” high

Climate: 78F, 65% RH

Additional info: Humidifiers until recently we’re using tap/Brita mix but I noticed white build-up on the carbon filter. Recently switched to ZeroWater

@ATX57Welcome to AFN They do look a little off but not as bad as I have seen. The liter of seed starter was probably too much as all you need is a ping pong ball size amount to start a seed in.

I recommend you to follow Coast of Maine's instructions. Recharge is not needed in veg with their soil and maybe not ever. Recharge will rev up the soil microbes producing too much available nutrients to the plant.

Thank you! You’ve confirmed one of the factors I had considered, that the seed starter soil was too weak to sustain the plant this long. Lesson learned.

I do have the Stonington plant food and will back off on the Recharge.
