Deficiency, lockout? (day 19, soil)

You're not giving the calmag anymore, right? Did you ever try adding in any Epsom salt? I'm wondering if maybe you've resolved you Ca issue but not replaced the missing Mg.

I like to keep the top couple inches really active. This is incredibly important IMHO. If you stay on your biology, you’ll observe the speed that your dry amendments are devoured. Keep the topsoil happy & the microbes will make you happy.

I definitely do not think it's an iron deficiency though. I would do recharge and give a pk boost, either topdressed or as a tea. Organics take longer to fix though, so a pk tea may be your best bet. I am in no ways an organic expert though, @WildBill or @pop22 would be able to provide much better advice.
I‘ll definitely do Recharge. Maybe a light Flower Girl tea even though I’ve just top dressed?

Maybe a Recharge tea and a tiny bit of Epsom salt. I don't know that adding more Ca back in to the mix is a good idea.

I was using newspaper as a makeshift mulch until recently. I noticed some white growth on the soil (saprophytic fungus maybe?) which made me nervous and I took it off. I was probably keeping the soil too damp as well.

What do you mean by keeping the top couple of inches really active?

@ATX57, I use quality (active) compost almost exclusively in the top couple of inches of soil when I plant anything except cactus.

I noticed that the few cannabis plants I’ve grown have had aggressive shallow roots like many perennials. On day 20 of my current grow, I stuck my finger in the soil at the edge of the 7G bag & ripped a root. That’s a lot like perennials that like to feed in topsoil.
More reason to keep that topsoil cooking IMO.

If you don’t do it already, I suggest getting off bagged/bottled organic nutes as much as possible. Get a decent blade coffee grinder & start powdering up stuff. You can create some great soil feed for little $.
Save your $ for good compost if you don’t have any available locally. I love that fish compost KIS & BuildASoil sell.
