I'm sure I've overwatered my seedlings (about 8-9 days since moving to coco from sprouts), as they seem to be a bit stunted. My moisture meter shows "Very Moist", and they seem to be stunted, one more so than the other.

I currently have a USB fan blowing on the worst one, hoping that the fan will reduce the moisture level in the container. However, I do still have the humidifier running, so I might be negating any possible benefit from the fan.

Pic #1 is the runt, pic #2 is the moisture meter's reading while in the runt's medium (coco), Pic #3 still seems small and while not as moist as #1, also is likely overwatered.

Thoughts? Tricks? Thanks!

Neither look overwatered, if your in coco, and not some coco/soil mix, its virtually impossible to overwater. That is one of the advantages of coco, you can really push the feed...

what type of pot are you using? fabric? and is the pot heavy?
if fabric pot and there is alot of water in the soil, place a folded towel under the pot, make it similar in size to the put. it will help draw the water out. I can drown my plants in water and with this method they are ready for water after 24 hrs. Also change the towel once its all wet.

Thanks,

definitely in Coco (Batch64: Pioneer) certainly has some additives
(From their web page: Coconut coir, perlite, pumice, rice hulls, expanded shale, biochar, oyster shell, mineral derived micro-nutrients, mycorrhizae, and yucca extract )

However somewhat concerned about stunted growth, and the fact that the moisture meter is up above "Moist", led me to think perhaps overwatering

Thanks,

Yes, in a fabric pot (3 gal). I do have another 3 gal fabric pot, and it's definitely lighter (not "a lot", but definitely lighter). I'll try the towel trick!

You'll find some coco growers feeding 4 times a day. When I run coco I'm a once a day guy. But that's for a full sized plant. I'd say your on track at this point. No droops to speak of, so keep doing what your doing!

Thanks very much. I'm such a noob that I can't tell if I'm doing it right or completely wrong!!!

hi growbro i grow in coco and normally start my girls all in solo cups and transplant them into big pots at say between day 8 to 10 i started using them as i thought i couldn't overwater them and they have worked out great and i still use them to this day also @Arthur is a world of knowledge and will always put you on the right path :smoking::pass:

in the solo cups, how often do you water them? And, I assume until you can see runoff, or if not, do you measure in any way? I have another seedling along the way that I planted in a mini fabric bag (w coco, again) and it just always looks dry but I can give it a little squirt and get runoff...
