Outdoor Outdoor UK, first time - journal & ref

Should I wait?
I pick up some kind of bud scope in a few hours so will know more then, but using a magnifying glass this morning think that many of the trichomes are still clear. There are also a few white pistils (although there are hardly any 5-10%.) Is trichome clarity the best way to measure ripeness accurately? I think want them to be milky at least - do they need more sun? (not much I can do about that if they do?)

Gut feeling... how long before she's ready?
(Trich report tomorrow!)

She's living up to her rather white 'Yeti' name! (day 65)

It's not just trichs you want to be looking at brother its the leaves, she'll start eating herself up when she's finishing. Looks like 10-14 days to me bro. Don't rush it, I did my first harvest and it could have been soooo much better.

Looking super dank there,

Dazed..

Yeti 3 met her maker this morning on day 69.
She weighed 80g after a trim.

The trichs were mostly milky and had even started to amber up in places. Some of the fan leaves had started degrading, although they still a bit green.

Let the drying/curing commence.

Now the unknown supers have all the space to themselves. I'll keep you posted as to progress, but there isn't going to be much to report until flowering starts properly in another month or two!

Nice work Somerset! You're nearly at the best part! She's beautiful :)

S'upp dawgs? How are we all? Its my birthday today so I thought I'd share my happiness you my fellow weed brethren and sisters.

My unknown supers are now at day 90 and are looking great!

The initial LST was quite significant, I pruned them and have also removed top fan leaves to allow more light and increase air movement amongst the buds. I did a load more LST after the Yeti's were complete so they filled the space better. They also had a good feed and with the extra space are partying hard! The combination of the training/pruning and the top leaf removal has really helped camouflage them into the rest of the border because they just look like nice green leafy plants and even though they are larger than they have ever been, are actually harder to spot than when they were young. I'm SO glad I trained them hard because they would have been 6-8ft by now - which would have sadly, been unacceptable.

Anyway - here is how they look. SOOOOOOO much bud there... christ knows how I'm going get through it... but I'LL TRY!

BTW

The unkempt 'wild' supers of the same strain that have been totally left to their own devices all summer look significantly different. I'm glad I decided to bung them in (as they were spare) and they have been an interesting control. It proves that they REALLY benefit from some good attention in terms of feed and water and light etc if you give a shit about yield. I reckon each plant is about the size of one branch from the big girls who got all the love!
