Outdoor only curing advice

Hello auto growers,

I cut down my first Autoflower plant that I started back in April. I'd like to do an outdoor curing process if at all possible I just cut down my plant today. I hung upside down at side in the sun to dry it out. Was going to leave it there for a couple days as long as it doesn't rain. And then switch over to mason jars with those moisture Boveda packs. Is it better to just go right ahead with mason jars and Boveda packs to dry it out? Or is there a process that I can use to leverage outdoor so that doesn't smell up my whole house cuz my wife doesn't like that LOL. Thx

Propper dry and cure is done without light, cool temps and moderate humidity. Outdoor this would be in a shed or barn that holds appropriate temp and rH. Optimal dry is 60% 60* and roughly 6 days before jarring.
I get away with 70* and about 50% for about a weeks time.
Under 40% you need to be actively be working on slowing it down, paper bag trick might help out.
Fast drying (like hanging in the sun) will dry it out before the chlorophyll can evaporate and lock in a hay smell and a "green" flavor.

you will loose all of the terps, and crisp the outer buds and turn the inners to mush. You need to dry in a dark cool 70°F 50% RH place.

Ok. I just pulled it out. Do you mean 50% humidity?

Yes ideal drying conditions are dark (at least no direct sunlight) 70°F with 50% Relative Humidity (RH). Make sure there is air movement in the room but not directed at the buds. I have a hard time in the summer hitting these numbers just do the best you can. If your humidity is too low you can use the paper sack method to dry them slower. Just put the colas in a paper grocery bag and close it up. If the RH is too high you need to get a dehumidifier. My harvests are so big I have to dedicate the spare room to drying.

The best could do was find shade for it. During the day the temp is 80° f and 50% humidity. Gonna do that for 6 days total then shift to indoor mason jars with bovada until ready. Grateful for comments as usual . thanks all

At that temp/RH it could be dry in 3 or 4 days.
