Hey... What is the optimum humidity for the tent ?

My tent inside is only 30-35%
And do not know how to raise it if it is farther up

Nice and high while vegging and nice and low while flowering.

I consider 70% to be high and 30% to be low.

There are ways to raise your humidity including:

Have water in your drip trays (i used to put my pots on little feet and water until a good amount of run off and just leae it there - but not so the bottom of the pot is in water - that's bad)

You could get a mini humidifier - ii tried this but for me it was too much hassle changing the water.

You could put bowls of water with a fan blowing across to the top to break surface tension.

You could hang towels that have been soaked and rung out in the tent.

You could (here's a bad idea) decrease your airflow in the tent. - that's a bad idea. Don't do that unless your airflwo is radically overkill :D

IN my midwinter grow I had a bastard of a time getting any humidity in my grow, so I just went with a desert grow. Even spraying all of the plants and the walls of the cab, then closing the doors quickly would only raise it to 30%.(normal was 18-22%) I ended up giving in and doing a desert grow...lol Despite the crazy low humidity, the plants grew just fine!

As mentioned, a container of water with a fan blowing across it works well long term.

I have found a baking pan works better than a bowl.

Cheap. Quick. Easy.

What about fluctuations in humidity, @blue ?
I see fluctuations in the range 40 to 60% during the day, depending on how much air I let in and out. I don't have an air pump, so I regulate air flow by opening and closing the circular openings (or may I call them ports?) in the tent. If too hot and humid, close 70% as you explain, I leave the zipper open at the bottom of then tent "door"?
Heat is not a problem with my cfls, I think. Usually between 85 and 91F, 30-33 centigrades. The plants look happy in their environment.

It did very little in my turbo dry winter environment. I had wet paper towels draped, shallow pans of water, 1" of water in the bottom of trays, misting pots and walls of cabinet. Incoming air was just so damned dry it flash dried the efforts. IIrc the best I saw was around 37%(with every method listed being used, and reading taken a prime one hour after cab misting) Sitting around 22% currently.

Since he is currently @ 30 - 35% it may help him.

Once past seedling stage I've never concerned myself much with RH being too low.

These weeds also grow well in deserts :smoking:
