Grow Room Onyx/Himalaya Blue Diesel Auto's - small tent

Hi there!

I just came here from a link over at Short Stuff Seeds, seems like a nice place to share ones growing adventures!

I have only done one grow prior to this, and it was with 3x photoperiod bagseeds.
Had a nice learning experience and got some decent results, http://imgur.com/a/JuzBq
but ultimately i concluded that Autoflowering strains would be more suitable for my small 50x50x100cm tent.
Had to bend and swirl the branches of those photoperiods like a damn vortex around the plant, and i still could not keep it small enough.

My setup:
Tent: 50x50x100cm
Light: 250w HPS (40-50 cm above canopy)
Light Schedule: 20/4
Ventilation: 220 CFM extraction fan + 2x small fans inside for circulation
Pots: 7L
Soil: Canna Terra Proffesional (Pre-mix, 5.8-6.3 pH)
Water pH: 6.5
Nutrients: Soil has nutes first 3-4 weeks. Only 1/5 dose Canna Terra Flores so far.
Temps: Day 25-32C : Night 18-24C
Humidity: 10-50% : 20% average

So here i am now.
29 days ago i sprouted 1x Onyx / 1x Himalaya Blue Diesel Auto Fems from Short Stuff.

Day 11
Screwed up one of the early waterings with pH 4 water.
Onyx didn't even flinch, HBD got a battle scar.

Day 19
Both shown pistils by this time

Day 29
Both plants stretched from end of week 3 until week 4. Both stopped at around 35-40cm in height.
Applied a light bend to both main stems to reduce height by a few cm as well.
Who doesn't love an even canopy?
Also seeing the first signs of soil running out of nutes. Yellowing lower leaves and purple branches.
Added 1/5 dose Canna Terra Flores yesterday.

Welcome ! Great start, make an introduction in the introduction section and you'll get some more traffic in here! May I ask what brand your tent is? I have a grow lab 40 and it's 40x40x120 I would like the extra 10 and 20 less on top.

Yes indeed, that was my next stop! Just getting some dinner done before i head over.

As for the tent, i have no idea. I bought my whole setup for around 200$ on Ebay.
All it sais is "Quality Hydroponics Grow Tent" on seller's page.
Seems he is not selling the set i bought any more... only 40x40x140/80x80x180.

well...how are you attempting to upload your pictures? I've noticed that a good amount of people have the same problem as you. Here. I made this thing in MS Paint for you to show you how lol

Day 35 from seed
HBD:

Have done 2 feedings with Canna Terra Flores so far, first with under 1ml/1.5L, then second at 1.25ml/1.5L.
Second time resulted in slightly yellow tips, so now i know how much nutes i can give.
Purple branches/stems/veins keep progressing up the plant, making me think this might just be strain related.
Adding nutrients did not slow it down at least. Will be adding some blackstrap molasses with next watering to see if that changes anything.

Day 35 from seed
Onyx:


Same nutrients given to this one, and pretty much same result with yellow leaf tips.
Also seeing some purpling of branches/stems/veins on this one, but not as much as the HBD.
Not quite sure what to make of it, any tips would be appreciated. Normal flower feed does not seem to help.
Terra Flores nutes have 2-2-4 NPK if that makes it easier to tell cause of purpling.
The Onyx has sadly drawn the short straw when it came to placement in the tent, and as a result
the lower leaves are blocked from light. Expecting most of this lower foliage to be gone in 2 weeks time.

Hi Bix

She's looking a little hungry to me! The pale look could be caused by lack of nitrogen.
Looking at the ml per litre, I've got a different nute lineup but at day thirty i'll be nearly triple that.

I would feed her up a bit
