Humboldt Seed Organization Only1Sky goes Kushy with Humboldt's Bubba & OG

@HSO-Mark -- the stalks are doing well now, thanks for asking. They seem to have caught up with the weight of the leaves. I think these two are going to be fairly respectable plants. Thanks for the suggestion of a split straw -- great idea that I've not seen nor thought of. :d5:

Day 21, the reservoir got activated with a mix of Advanced Nutrients (Sensi GROW A&B, B52, Rhino Skin, Sensizyme) plus Liquid W-8 and cal/mag. Also, the Bubba Kush got topped; here's her before and after shots.

Bubba is looking good a few days after her topping. Here's the gals on day 23 with both at 7" height.

Day 30. They've each added 3" of height over the past week; now at 10" high. Two days ago they got .6 ltr of ReCharge and SLF-100. Now back on AutoPot reservoir loaded with Advanced Nutrients (Sensi GROW A&B, B52, Rhino Skin, Voodoo Juice, Sensizyme) plus Liquid W-8 and cal/mag. I've changed the brand of cal/mag from General Hydo to Advanced Nutrients. I've got a suspicion that the GH cal/mag was contributing to a fouling of the reservoir, we'll see soon enough.

At this point, the Bubba is the more robust of the two gals, though it may be hard to tell from the photos 'cause the Bubba's enormous fan leaves are blocking most of the view. The top leaves of the OG are a bit serrated -- due to bad topping job on my part. I'm very happy with them both.

Nice vigorous growth over the last week mate

Keep up the great work and please keep the updates coming :pass:

Kind regards

Mark..

Bubba Kush and OG Kush on day 38. I'd like to take a better photo of these, but am pressed for time since I've been out of town for a couple of days. Lush growth, but absolutely no bud sites or signs of flowers yet. ??? First one is Bubba (on left), second is OG (on right).

Bubba Kush and OG Kush on day 41. First one is Bubba (on left), second is OG (on right). I choose OG as the show-girl going forward. The thing is ... neither has yet shown any signs of flower development. This seems odd to me, as my other 8 plants in this grow cycle are all well along on their flower phase. Am I just a little impatient, or could these be photoperiod gals?? Anyway, because of the other plants in the tent, I've now activated my 5th Cob, which is the 2700K light. Also, I'm now using a bloom-phase mix of Advanced Nutrients for my reservoir. Cheers, all.

This is super strange as to why both of these strains have not entered bloom, very strange indeed.

I would give it another 7 day's mate and if you still have no signs of flowering could you go to 12/12 with your lighting to induce the flower phase ?

I know this is not ideal but it's the only way to get these girls into bloom. We must have made a huge mistake here and I do need to look into this

Keep the updates coming my friend as I need to keep an eye on this

Kind regards :bong:

@HSO-Mark -- no worries mate. Life deals in surprises and uncertainty. I capitulated this morning and moved the two plants out of the tent and over into a closet where I'm pretty sure that I can deliver a 12/12 light cycle. Also just placed an order with the CobShop for a couple of more 3500K AutoCob lights to handle the transition.

I guess this is probably the only way that I'd step up to photoperiod plants --- this will be my first run with them --- assuming that's the explanation to the current situation.
