Indoor One Month Update. Nitrogen Toxicity? Help Please!

Don't start the flower nutes until you see a full growth of pistols forming and there in full bloom stage.

Sorry to hijack your thread, I just wanted some clarity on namvets statement. I have heard this said a few times, that bloom nutes shouldnt be introduced until vertical growth stops. Does this apply to both soil and hydro? I am using GH 3 Part series in hydro, and it calls for one part of Micro, grow, AND Bloom in the veg phase. WHen you say don't use bloom nutes, does this mean dont use ANY, or dont follow the "Bloom Schedule" on the bottle?

what's your R/H in your grow space?..a high R/H can cause clawing also...I ask and say this because your cannabis plants are looking great!...here's something that I've learn about the FF Tiger Bloom...it will throw your soil ph way out of wack...so much that I have quit using it and now only use the Open Sesame Bloom Booster for my flowering....Happy Growing...:smokebuds:

Don't follow the bloom schedule. You will use bloom nutes throughout the grow but you want to keep them on the high N until vertical growth stops. The you will transition into the bloom schedule.

Good question Skatter!

Thanks nam! I figured better to get a second opinion from the Dr.

Forget lowering the lights.I didn't realize that some were sativa dom, this would explain the somewhat lanky growth.

Alright, I thought that was the case because of the lack of ofphosphorus in the micro and grow, but wasnt completely sure. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

My RH is slightly high. it's been crazy humid lately. my rh has been from 50 to as high as 72 or so, I have some damp rid and a dehumidifier om the way.

Yep, high RH will definitely cause that. They have a hard time transpiring and will look like over watering. Basically the leaves can't breath. Look at the pic below, as the humidity gets higher, the leaf will no longer transpire.

Thanks for the chart, I am planning on having my dehumidifier in by Friday hopefully.

So I checked them again today and the claw seems to be better on a few, the worst one is still there and it seems that some of the newest growth leaf tips have a yellow on the tips, looks like nute burn but on the newest growth. And I came across another problem that freaked me out, that I have never seen. On one of the Skunks, the tall lanky one, that is directly under the light, two of the upper leaves had a lot of individual spots on them, almost a yellowish white color spots. I checked the bottom of the leaves and they look great, couldn't see any critters, and this is the only plant that it has this going on. One of the leaves, had a leaf from another plant on top of it, and when I moved the leaf from on top of it, there was a good bit of water on the leaf with the spots. It looks like the leaf had transpired onto the other one and maybe the light burnt it slightly. I am sort of leaning towards a light issue, because the one affected is the tallest plant. The spots were on the second newest leaf growth, and the newest leaves almost have a yellow, burnt look to them. Yesterday was the first full day the HPS had been on them, my MH had an output of 58,000 lumens, and my new HPS has an output of 97,000 lumens. So maybe it is a light intensity/ distance issue. I pulled this specific one out of the room to get some pics, and then moved her to the outer row of plants, then raised the light another 4 inches or so.
Anyways.. Here are the pics, please let me know what you guys think!! Thanks very much!

This is the leaf that had another leaf sitting on top of it and was pretty wet, you can see some of the water still on the leaf.

This is the newest growth of the same plant, the leaf on the left looks a little burnt or something?

The leaf tips on newest growth of the one that is giving me the worst claw.

The claw on the Northern Lights.

The other NL that looks SLIGHTLY better than yesterday, but is still showing signs of the claw.

The big, bushy NL that is showing signs of the claw, and slight canoeing. This canoeing seems to be consistent with the newer growth on this plant though, after a day or so it goes down and the newest growth always has it...

Please let me know what you guys think, and what you think the best course of action would be to alleviate these symptoms?
Thanks very much!

Signs of Nitrogen Toxicity

-Dark green leaves and foliage
-Leaf tips may turn down, without signs of overwatering.
-You may notice yellowing on the affected leaves or other signs of nutrient deficiencies as time goes on
-Nitrogen toxicity is often but not always accompanied by nutrient burn
-The Claw often seems random, affecting leaves here and there
-Heat and pH problems will make the clawing worse, as they stress out the plant and lower her defenses
-As time goes on, the claw leaves will eventually start turning yellow, getting spots, and dying.

So here's my :2cents: I'd just start really monitor my ph levels per water and only feed ph water. Clawing will go away and the yellow, if caused by nitro tox, some times comes back. But if the spots are from ph lock out thats a whole different can of worms. Flush will start you from point 0. And the problem ive found with FFOF is that once you flush all nutes go with it. I'd just ph water to where you have good run off and watch. Sending mass amounts of Leaving a karma clou your way. Hope I helped and not just confused you more! Best of luck, keep us posted.

There was a similar problem with spots on leafs no on was able to figure out until the posting user noticed that there were water drops on the leafs the day before more spots appeared in the same location. Wish I could remember the thread.
