Two APK’s on day 8

Day 16: She's been outside for several days. I have been covering her at night with a 5 gallon pot with drain holes taped over. She's not growing very quickly and I suspect it's too much cold for her. But I'm hoping she's just developing a good root system before she commits - - because with the cover and in that amount of soil she shouldn't be getting too cold.

Of the other three seeds, only two sprouted after being given 4-5 days. I can't remember exactly and didn't write it down. So I'm going to do the scientific thing and just stipulate that they're 12 days behind the first one and therefore on day 4.

I have family visiting this weekend but may plant the new seedlings outside with the other one sometime this weekend.

Day 17 and 5 - I planted the other two APK11 seedlings in the living soil pot this morning. I put them closer together so that when I cover it at night I won't accidentally smash a seedling. Later I'll use LST to pull them away from each other. I have to keep them low as well because this is a stealth grow. I hope I didn't stunt the first seedling, but I'll be getting a hot pad today to keep them warm at night from this point forward - so I won't be stunting the other two.

#2 is up and going not really much hope for #3. We'll see if we get a girl between these 2

Sorry for my delay in updating! Been busy with outdoor renovation projects and trying to get as much done as I can before I run out of steam lol. I dropped 2 APK and a Miracle Nuggets about 2 weeks ago, only one of the two APK ever showed their face. 9 days old on Thursday when I took the below picture. At this point I'm just going to hold off till it shows sex before dropping another round of beans. Had a bit of helmet head, which is the reason for the random hole in the first real leaf.

If it’s Sunday morning it’s update time!
Beans in the dirt 4/29, popped 5/3, and here we are on 5/8. Recall that I’m used recycled soil. I like it so far. As I don’t use salt based nutrients I’m not terribly worried about build up. Even so I have done one “flush” with liquid bone meal, that is Herculean Harvest from NFTG. Flushing with HH should bind up any salts and help to flush them out of the soil. What I did do was to prepare the pots with the HH flush as I mentioned then I “fed” the pots with some beneficial microbes and mycorrhizae along with something for them to eat, some yucca to enhance wetting (this seemed important as the over dry soil was really quite hydrophobic!). And as always SLF-100 enzymes and a splash of Mag Amped.
Thepots are currently under my ES 300 lights from The Green Sky 16/8 timing. I’m going to try to get my supplemental LED lights going this round too.

Doing her thing and growing well. Still slow on the water up take for now. I started to feed at EC 0.6 so we'll see how she responds.
