:smoking: hey Ice'! .... I think those are spring tails too,...the color, shape, their reactions, where they are,... Thrips don't hang around the soil surface like that,.. adults and larvae are on the plant feeding, only during a sort of pupation stage do thrips enter the soil, and don't feed during this metamorphosis,.... thrips don't like to leave either! I get them outside every time, it's automatic,.. they will literally dodge you as you look for them on the plant!
... they can jump/bail when pressed,.. adults can fly plenty well,....
Springy's are detritus munchers, no real threat just annoying,.. probably under the pots too, so look around and start a little clean-up; most any garden safe bug spray will do... Azamax, spinosad, etc., just spray and wipe the pots, spray the surface of the coco.... diatomaceous earth will help with surface stragglers, but it's effectiveness window is short; after a watering or two, it gets caked down and scattered,...
