your RO water is coming out at 8+pH? That's a bad sign mate, the membrane might be toast,.. what's the ppm on the RO? pH readings on truly pure RO or DI water can be difficult to get (has to do with the way meters works and chemistry).. better measure is ppm of the RO water, which should be well under 10ppm, more like 2-5ppm,... What I chasing here is where the source of alkalinity is coming from, to make your run-off from the pot higher pH than going in! nutes acidify, BTW,...
Jingo, his problem isn't a Ca defc., and as you see, his pH appears to be above 7.0!
