Im not aware of any animal near me that has potential to eat plants in a similar fashion. Especially with deer hoof prints everywhere. Ever since the event, the deer fence protection has worked.
I feed these 60lbs of corn/day to keep them off my plants, down in the draw.
MARIGOLDS! THEY HATE MARIGOLDS surround your perimeter with them ASAP. I used to live in Sullivan...TRUST ME.
beer. not sure why but they go for it and die..I wrapped tomato cages in plastic deer fencing and haven’t had an issue since! I also made a protected nursery for plants Of all kinds by making a deer fence growing space. Now my greatest enemy are snails and slugs thus far.
For what its worth, beer. not sure why but they go for it and die..
the snails, not the deer
Tomato plants are toxic, the green parts. I used to grow tomato plants all the time and never had an issue with deer until one Summer there was a drought in my area that lasted for months, everything died except my tomato plants that I watered diligently. Then one day a buck came into my yard and I watched him rip my tomato plants out one by one as I threw sticks at him.Y'know, I think I will do that. I have wire on hand and Murphy's Law is never far out of mind. Actually most are in containers so I could simply form a circular pen and put them in it.
Sorta a weird thing going on…flowers are purple-ish on different plants...is that genetics/stress response from evil deer or is it an infection of some sort?
Maybe a magnesium deficiency?
they are in soil, fed grow big, tiger bloom & tap water left out for 24 hours.
if it’s bad I’ll destroy the plants-I’ve been taking a “whoa! They lived! Let’s see what they will do next” approach and I think it’s visually interesting for sure!

It’s gorilla glue and candy Kush. i Checked my Pineapple Express and that has hints of it.Is it a Purple Candy Kush strain? I've grown a couple different purple strains and a few strains that begin to turn purple when temperatures get around 60 degrees.
I use copper tubing around the base of the plant...puts out an electric charge that drives them off!beer. not sure why but they go for it and die..
