Alright ladies and gents, After going through all of your fantastic journals, I finally brought myself to write out a little journal.
Strain is Trans Siberian, By Auto Seeds.
To start, it's just one single plant, There may be a 2nd plant in some of the earlier pictures, That was a Pakistan ryder, that basically died in the cold, So we brought her back in, basically resurrected her. Ended up salvaging some good little budlets off of her, Called her the "Zombie plant"
She's in a standard bedroom closet, I'm assuming it's somewhere around 2-3' Deep, 8-9' Wide, and just about as tall.
The light I am using is just a standard 400W MH, I use Sun Deluxe's Cool and Warm bulbs depending on if I'm Veggin' or Flowerin'. (Best I could do until I can go purchase a nice old Mh/HPS switchable )
It was hung 14-24 inch above the plant most the time, until She decided to get so big we had to alter the closet a slight bit
Honestly, The light has been on 24/0, except a few exceptions.
Now let's get into the actual buckets themselves, I want to call them DWC, But idk if it is or not.
Ha Same basic set up, but I just didn't trust myself with the roots hanging, I just see myself damaging them in some way.
So I just took a 5 gal bucket, and about 3-4" down cut 2 holes across from each other, placed a 1/4"ish metal rod through, then did the same thing slightly above the hole and angled so that when the 2nd metal rod goes through, It would make a cross "+" for the top bucket to sit on. Took a seperate 5 gal bucket and cut a little bit off the top, and filled it with hydroton, Then placed it on top of the previous bucket. I Put my air stones, as well as the pump in the bottom bucket, running the pump tubing up and into the top bucket. I did have to cut a groove in the top bucket for the tubing to fit nicely without the hose pinching!
As far as nutrients,
I stuck with General Hydroponics on this one, Went with Floranova Grow + Bloom. I also Ordered a Couple of their supplements, Including
Diamond Nectar - Humic Acid
Liquid Koolbloom - Bulking Form
Floralicious Plus - Super Concetrated Enhancer
Florablend - Vegan Plant Booster
FloraKleen- Flushing Formula
January 17th - Day 0
Germinated the seed elementary status, Used a damp paper towel, on a plate.
Took two days for the seed to crack, and for the root to show.
January 19th -
Root was showing, 1/4" - 1/2"
Planted into a 1" Rockwool Cube, watered the cube with PH'ed water to about 6.0
(Using the Ph color kit, Not the most accurate, but better than nothing
)
Placed on a window seal, that gets sunlight for the majority of the day.
Kept 1" Rockwool damp.
January 20th -
Seedling had sprouted, raised about 1/4" Showing cotyledons and first set of baby leaves.
Roots were also protruding out of the bottom, So I went ahead and Put the 1" rockwool into an 4" rockwool cube, then cut about an inch or so off the bottom. Then Went ahead and put her into the set up, and set her off to the side, but still under the light.
Now unfortunately, that's all the dates I kept, wish I would have done it the whole time, Most Definitely will next time!
Once she grew a little more, I covered the rockwool completely with hydroton.
Then moved her directly under the light.
Feeding was Lighter in the beginning, about three times a day, starting with 15 min increments, soon decided to change it to 30 minute increments, and eventually added some more air stones, and ran the feeding almost constantly. Shutting it off during the night, most nights
In the beginning it was just Ph'ed water and Nova Grow, She took it very well, as soon as I felt she could handle it I started doing a little "fim"
She didn't seem to mind, Just kept spitting out new chutes
Just grew to a bush!That's when I started adding Some Florablend and the Nectar, Once again, she didn't show any signs of burning.
Just bush, bush, bush!
I think it was around day 40 it started it's transition into flowering, which is right around when I switched into Nova Bloom and added the Koolbloom and floralicious. Because I was putting so much in I went at half strength.
Once again, to my surprise she was fine. It wasn't until I went full strength on everything that she started to show a little burn and get some curl! I went ahead and gave her a flush with the Florakleen for a good day and a half, and went at 3/4 strength, she liked it much better!
And I believe (FINALLY) that brings us to today...
If anyone has made it this far, Seriously :clap: My hat is off to you, I almost fell asleep 3 times writing this
May 10th -
She stands at a beautiful 3' tall, Some colas are slightly higher, All of the top colas are super solid. I'm totally drooling over them. Wanting them to finish, but she can have all the time she wants. so far I've counted about 53 Visible top colas, But I would only say like 5-10 are the main ones, all beautiful regardless.
She's currently getting full strength Nova Bloom, Floralicous, and koolbloom.
Drinking up 4 Gallons every 2-3 days.
I thought she was almost finished, but she is still spitting out new little spots on top of my buds, with white pistils, so I'm assuming she doesn't want to stop just yet.
But I guess I can stop my rambling now, And time to post the Pictures, Unfortunately, I don't have very many pictures from when it was little. Haha Time to smoke and crash!
