Lighting Noods grows SBR-70's, RSD's and a CC

... do have a couple questions before the shop closes tho. if you dont mind.

1) you are taking a break from growing just for the summer?! or you have your reasons? (just wondering)
2) do you have a fan in that dry box?! or you just let it air out?
3) also what is your average RH/temp and how many days to total drying before jar?

sorry for the questions bro -- thought id ask while the thread is still up as i love picking peoples brains and filling my own :thumbs:

with that said -- see you next update brother noods! :smokebuds:
LOL OK;

1) The new insulation that was supposed to be installed under the roof last Spring/Summer never happened, so it's SUPPOSED to be getting done this Spring/Summer, meaning I'll have people around my grow room that don't need to know that it's a grow room. Plus, my boy (13 yrs and ignorant to my hobby) is coming to visit in the summer vacation for a month and he doesn't need to know yet, either. Late August, early September = New Grow. :thumbs:

2) In these colder months, I just have my dry box sitting on a table in front of a partially opened window. It's a very slight occasional breeze flowing around the box and through the slits in the box and around the buds and I like the way it works. If it was warmer, I'd have a fan blowing some more circulation around, so as not to allow the equation Moist + Warm + Dark = Mold to become real.

3) Currently, in my room is an average temp of ~17 C. RH is between 30 and 40%. The way it is right now, they'll be in the bud box for about four to five days, with rotating and turning, before I then do the feel test and determine if I want to jar them up or not. Then after they're jarred, I see where they're at and if I need to just burp on occasion or if I need to take them out again to dry a little more. If they're at 68% or under, I'll just do long burps, and over 68% I take them out to dry for a few more hrs.
My advice here is to be pretty diligent in your observations to avoid over-drying. Buds dried and cured the right way are much MUCH better than buds that need to be re-hydrated.
Notice I said the right way, not my way. The variables for the right way are so many. You just have to do trial and error and find out what's best for your specific environment and method. Learn by doing. And with cannabis, who's not up for lots and lots of learning and doing? :D

Thank you so much for the kindness herbal.! :smokebuds: I wanted to get some pics of my last -RSD- harvests up tonight, but, as we all know- time stands still for no man (well, actually, it does, if you know how;) ) and I didn't have enough of it tonight to post some porn. I'll try again tomorrow.

OK then, here are some samples of my January 2013 Pot Project...

SBR-70. Beautiful smoke. No need for ISO or Bubble Bags or any of that. Just grow this if you like to feel like your smoking some fresh, potent hash. The taste is changing as it cures. I don't taste the processed grain like Wheat Checks anymore. Now it's a sweet and tangy hash. And some real stinky bud. I love how the whole room gets stinked up from just opening a jar of these really frosty goodies.

Cream Caramel. My Love Bud. This is the Teddy Bear that I take to bed with me. (Silly me not taking my time, I picked out the airy-est, loosest bud in the jar. It would be one from the bottom of the plant, I guess. The rest are nice and dense and tight.)

Royal Stone Dragon. These are still in the Bud Box. 2 Different phenos. This one is "white", and very citrus-y. Lemons and Lime with the emphasis on Lemons, skunky sour.

The second pheno's buds are a little purple and much more Stone Dragony. They have that dark, tar and fuel and secret smell, and sweet flowers. I hope the lavender smell comes out in them while curing. I like that in the SDs.
