So, this is my first indoor grow, and yes it's a budget one!! All in all the following equipment cost £85.67 from eBay, is it any good? I'm going to find out!!

Tent - Gaia Hydro 50*50*100 cm - eBay
Light - 200 w COB LED - eBay
1 x 6 inch oscillating fan - eBay
Carbon filter - 4 inch swiftair - eBay
Pot - 11 litre / 3 gallon air pot - Amazon
Growing media - verve multi purpose compost - B&Q
Hygrometer - eBay
Seed - Pineapple Gum Auto - Black Skull Seeds

Germination, after reading hundreds of threads on what you should or shouldn't do, I opted to fill the pot full of compost, soak it, leave it a few days to dry, pop a little hole about 1.5 cm deep in the middle, drop seed in, light cover seed with compost, dribble water on the area where the seed is and wait!!

2 days later she is above soil, I turned the light on , let's grow some weed!!

Day 3 and 4 above soil and my budget noob grows first mistake started to bite me in the arse, STRETCHING. Now I'm no expert but it wasn't hard to work out that something wasn't quite right. (Pic 1 & 2)

Yes, the pile of shite light I bought isn't exactly what it says on the tin. After extremely gently scrapping some soil from the sides of the pot to strengthen the stem, (basically making a mini volcano) I lowered the light, 4 inches above the canopy, yes you read it 4 inches, the manufacturers guide is 20!! Anyway the stretching has stopped but I quickly realised, if I'm 4 inches from the canopy then how the hell am I going to have enough light when she gets bigger. Back to the internet, Mars Hydro purchased. First mistake, there is no substitute for a tried and tested light!

Week 1 - she is getting bigger, new growth, all looking fine, well to a noob anyway! Still waiting for the new light to be delivered. Only thing I have done up to now is give her a light spray of tap water, no pH no nutes, just basic tap water that has been left for 24 hours. (Pics 3 & 4)

One last thing left to note, my girl absolute loves air circulation, with the 6 inch clip on fan running she seems happier. Well next update in a week and she what the next challenge will be.

Don't know much about LED's but my first kit was very similar to this (60x60x120cm & 250w hps). It will get you through your first grow or two.

Plant growth look fine, if a little stretchy lol. No matter though, not the end of the world at all.

You won't need any nutes for the first couple of weeks, if the verve stuff already has some in (I believe it does). Then I normally do a 1/2 feed of veg nutes, then a 3/4 one. By that stage she should be getting into flower, and so you'd be getting your bloom stuff out. You don't mention nutes, so don't know what you've got. If you want to stay budget, you could buy a small ionics grow and bloom, possibly a boost for around £20.

Yup she’s gonna need some nitrogen! Nothing wrong with a budget setup, we all start that way. I started with a vivosun 600w blurple, cheap it worked perfect, but later I splurged on 6 autocobs. Well after a couple grows of that I liked the blurple better so she’s back in service. Here she is flanked by 2 of the COBs, I’ll probably add more when they get bigger.

Hi fellas, thanks for the advice, @niceneasy I haven't got any nutes yet, week I tell a lie I have some pk 13 & 14 was thinking a try pack of biobizz 3 X 500 ml grow bloom & top for £21 didn't think that was a bad price, kind of anxious about nutes - over doing it etc... But we try!!!

Not tried biobizz, but it has a good rep. They will have a feed schedule online somewhere, just keep to that & you'll be fine. If you're nervous, just do a little less. I usually do with a new nute, just to gauge how the plant reacts.

If you keep posting up pics, people will keep you right.

Mega Crop for nutrients and done lol
