Indoor Nirvana Blue Mystic-ShortRyder

Sorry to hear ... Might be time to go to LEDs ... :Passing Wind..:

Well in a way, that is my temporary fix. I have this brand new state of the art LED light bar for the jeep that I haven't mounted yet. It will illuminate clearly up to a mile away. More when my son hooked it to an 18v Ryobe battery.
Its too long to fit in the cab so its hung across the open front aimed correctly and closed off with draped mylar. At full amps it would cook the cab so I am now trying different 12v adaptors starting at 1 amp which is no brighter than a weak flashlight stepping up until I reach the right brightness with least heat.
The bigger girl reached puberty today so I'll use one of the flower cfls on her and keep the runts inside for a while.

Congrats on the pubes Magyver ... :Sharing One:

Thanks.
With a 5 amp adapter the two runts stood right at attention. Tomorrow I buy a 10amp or more up to 15 amps. Its a bummer that I had an adjustable that went from 1 amp to 20 and its the only one my wife sold for $.50 in her last yard sale out of about 20 others on the table.

Started BM1 on Flowertab today and added another 1/2 Soiltab to the slower BM2. The Dwarf didn't make it through the light failure. It was just too weak to stretch as the lights weakened over a number of days until it had no further effect on the tiny plant. I moved her out to the garden and will see if she makes another comeback under old Sol, although its unlikely.
No matter how well we prepare for every contingency, there is always Murphys Law. The undetected gradual dimming of the CFL's has really raised hell with this run. Both remaining plants have so much stretch that I will probably have to break out a makeshift tent as they grow out of the cab.

Another issue is with BM2. Although it stretched to the receding light, keeping the top healthy, there has been no branching at all from the nodes below. Its a beautiful healthy green, like its normal but overly stretched sister, but I think there may be an issue with its sex.

Day 31

Both lights that dimmed, completely died today within minutes of each other at around 4500 hours. Well below the 10,000 advertised so I should have at least some recourse if only a prorated credit on more.

BM1 with stretch of 9" between the first and second nodes and 7" between second and third, is reaching for the sky. Starting to build flowers.

BM2 Is showing better signs of growth and just popped a set of pistils so my male plant worries seem over. I was concerned that it might be male because of absolutely no branching action still.

Excuse the lousy pics.

Today is a milestone for me. I have finally let a jar of buds cure over 30 days without touching it accept to burp it. Its some of the SR2 secondary bud that in sampling, wasn't real impressive compared to the others in the run.. After a month it has developed into good vape. It encourages me to leave the cola, which is untouched in another jar, alone for a couple more months at least when it should be great vape.:fire:

I have never had such lush and flawless looking plants health wise. I've had some issues but none were related to the seeds or the Soiltabs and Flowertabs..

Now that they are in flower, I'll start supplementing them with 1/2 doses of Big Bud unless someone knows a reason not to. If so, please speak up.

I ain't thin skinned and am here to learn so any constructive advice, critical or not is always welcome.

Wow, My First AFN Badge.

"pher Wiggle"

Ok, enough lame attempt at humor.. Down to the business at hand.

Day 38

Things are sorting themselves out nicely.

BM1c

BM2c

Both are building nice colas. BM2 is showing the same light tips as previous grows. I'm thinking this is a result of the transition from SoilTab to Flowertab. Time will tell if they green up like before or brown. The overlap of nutes can also be seen in the slight darkening of the leaves and I'm hoping and expect it to return to normal shortly.

I used the 1/2 dose of BIG Bud on BM1 but held off on the other for a while.
