Indoor Nirvana Blue Mystic-ShortRyder

Nice and green ... love the buds ... :Sharing One:

Calyxes are starting to swell since this morning. They should really start packing it on.

One of the first things suggested to me when I got here was to get the mylar as close around the plants as practical. With the cold weather, I've been leaving the cab open and mylar draped across the opening leaving breathing gaps about four inches on the edges. The temps are holding at 76 to 78F. The mutant plant is the most sensitive to light that I've seen yet. It has a 125w flowering CFL just 8" above but will stay droopy until the mylar is hung across the opening, Then within minutes she is at attention. It clearly shows the importance of reflectivity.

Day 55
And I may be in trouble with Ethel. She is showing signs of a potassium deficiency and I'm concerned that in treating the Calcium deficiency, I may have set up a lock out situation with too much liquid. I dosed with 2 table spoons of Blackstrap and a full 2ml per liter, 2 liter dose of Big Bud which is also high in Potassium. If it is being absorbed the edge fading should stop spreading, if not its time for another full flush. I'll see what tomorrow brings. Due to the light doses of nutes and only a half tab, it just may have needed the extra Potassium as it packs them on.

Seeing this pic full sized for the first time, it doesn't really show the pale green edges that are effecting some of the smaller fans.

After 21 hours, the discoloration of the serrations has not expanded since last night and the buds are obviously packing it on so I'm no longer concerned with lockout and will continue with the full dosage of big bud until my order of tabs arrive, then I will half tab both and stop the supplements as scheduled.
The Tabs seem so well balanced on their own that supplements seem to upset that balance kicking off deficiencies. No early harvest for these girls.

Next run I'll let finish without supplements to insure a decent yield using full tabs.

Cal/mag/humeric acid.

Day 60

Ethel: the calcium deficiency has spread to the younger growth. The cal/mag Earth Juice arrived today and she received her first dose. I took a chance on the less popular brand for the Humeric that I have read good things about. I've seen neither good nor bad about this product. Must be strong stuff, 1/2 Tsp. per gallon every 2-4 weeks for prevention. I'm past that so have to look around for a treatment schedule.

Lucy got a dose also and will get another on the treatment schedule although the bone meal has kept it in check

:niceshot: Cool pics ... :Sharing One:

Unfortunately, if you look to the left of the center 3 trichs and down a little there is a small black spot that is showing up on all pics. Without a clue how I'd clean it, I already contacted the seller who will exchange it no problem. That's what I like about buying new from E-Bay and Amazon stores. No hassles.

I have to wonder if some writer was looking at trichs one day and came up with the water tentacle in The Abyss.

The mutant Blue Mystic is at it again, or I am just not remembering seeing this before. Most of the fans from the colas are only 3 leafed. One has 4, If it mutates again, I hope its on the side of more potency rather than less.Still not one whiff of odor from her.

Day 67

Some amber from ShortRyder.
I've always been a fan of UVB and now I'm sure of its benefits. These pics were taken from a section that has not had its benefit and they are weak and sparse compared to all my other SRs that were always 3-4 times denser and larger.
Amber at this early stage is encouraging that this may finish sooner than all my others before. Some have gone 90+and were still taken early.

Day 69

Still no odor from Blue Mystic. A pic shows the pools are there as if capped. They should extrude trichomes soon.
