Indoor NiceNEasy's trials and tribulations.

In the tent.

Getting down to business now, and in the tent we currently have a lone wolf - or dawg in this case. The plant has been very, very popular in my local area for a while, and I was gifted a clone by the previously mentioned growers. It is either Dawg Star or Star Dawg. The person I procured it from did not know which, but it is a definite Dawg. Both plants have good linage, so I'm not really concerned, other than curiosity of the exact heritage. This plant in particular is a great yielder, strong, and has been gladly growing in my little tent for nearly a year without complaining. Everyone raves about the bud, so should be good to cross.

Dawg Star is a medically valuable strain with a highly sophisticated background, consisting of the genetics of Purple Kush, Mazar I Sharif, OG Kush and Sour Diesel. This offspring of DarkStar and Chemdog is the answer to your problem If you suffer from strong chronic pain or insomnia.

Stardawg is a Sativa-dominant hybrid originally bred in the Bay Area of California as a cross between Chemdawg 4 and Tres Dawg.

Here she is. One of the branches on this plant is to be pollinated. I have already gathered & froze the pollen in prep for this - from a Black Dragon F3.

I've also stuck in 10 Black Dragon No 2 F4. These are fresh from the bud by about a week, so will probably be lower numbers. I am growing these in Solo cups, to test how they fair in such small pots now temps are better. They are also a backup in case the frozen pollen does not work. This is my first time with frozen pollen, so always good to think ahead.

Only been a few days, but forgot to mention one point. The tent is already on 12/12, and has been for about 2 weeks. The Dawg is showing some stretch, and the beginnings of some little buds. Only 2 of the Black Dragon have cracked, but it is still early days yet & a dip in temps might not have helped.

Looking well your plant does resemble my Purple Kush. Very thick and bushy. I was not prepared for the added maintenance of such a bushy plant. I have never grown this type before. I grow in my basement and the Queen Bee looks in from time to time. Every time she see's a fungus gnat she swats at it then me. She likes the result of the grow though my bonus.

Cheers for the info mate, I am leaning more towards the Dawg Star myself. She is very bushy, and has a little issue on some leaves - silvering - a usual gnat sign. They have always been a pain in this tent, one of the drawbacks of growing in what could be considered an outhouse.

I've never really defoliated before, but I may consider some maintenance on this one - on the inside to open her up. Seems unnatural to be cutting leaves off her, when I'm normally crying about lack of leaf towards the end of a grow.

My wife HATES, yes capital letters, the smell and effects of cannabis (on her). It is probably the thing we have most argued about in our 19 years together. I use her as a bloodhound for smells, which she is always eager to tell of.

The payoff is all the cash I used to spend on weed now goes direct to the house coffers. I used to spend crazy cash on crappy bits of weed, before I wised up.

I already have given my Purple Kush's at the end of week 6 of flower 3 major defoliation trims. The thick inner just get's matted now but through the veg period it had huge and many fans.

Weekly Update.

Into the first week of flower, and going fine. Stretch is still going a little, and little buds forming everywhere. Usually I would give it some LST now, butnot going to for this grow.

Despite a few temp drops at night, environment is holding up. I'm going to give the female another week or so, and then pollinate her. That will give a total of 8 weeks flower, and allow for the seeds to mature nicely before chop.

Probably 2 weeks into proper flower now, so I've decided to pollinate my Dawg with some F3 Black Dragon.

A couple of snaps of the new Dragons, 5 in total - 3 @ F3 & 2 @ F4. These are 10 & 5 days old. Not much size between them, but they have been 12/12 from seed.

For the moment I have put them in my little veg cupboard, as this is on 20/4. I want to see if they put on any size quicker than in the main.

My conundrum is: Stronger light, but less hours. Weaker light, but more hours. Any thoughts?
