thanx a lot mate ! I could do with getting better light on the veg side im thinking myself ! the smaller choc orange seedling I started yesterday hasn't grown hardly any since , it looks like its needing more watts onit to give it a boost ! the t5's work well in summer but certainly a different story in winter , I lose a lot more in percentage of germing rates
a question plz , how far away do you have your hps from early seedlings safley without burning them ?
the six shooter yes is an interesting one ! I wish I had the space to grow it to a fuller size , I bet you would grow a monster in yours mate
Probably about a metre but I guess I might get away with a little closer in winter than summer before temps get out of range for me.
According to the "sunny f/16" rule photographers used to use to guess exposure settings before auto-exposure I reckon you need to be about 6" (150mm) from a 600W HPS to get close to how bright it is outside on a sunny day. If I take pics at ISO 100, 1/100th and f/16 the are underexposed until you get very close to the bulb whereas it should be fairly close to a correct exposure outside on a sunny day.
Wonder how much light it takes to be able to use the sunny f/16 rule at canopy level?......that could be spectacular lol
