Hey everyone,

New to autos not to growing in general.

How many plants would you put in a 2.5ftx2.5ft tent in 3 gallon air-pots. Only using lst for training?

Soil grow

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I was thinking 3 possibly 4 like I said new to autos and I have a feeling it’s going to be very strain specific as well. Thanks for watching my other thread as well! Never thought I would have so much fun setting up such a small setup! I’m going to have to get a smaller garden gnome!

Your completely right as to strain dependent, I've had small strains that I could run 9 in a 4x, and others that one would be enough to fill it. I'd say if your staying with the smaller strains, then maybe 3, large to the XL strains (Hubbabubba Haze comes to mind) 1 will easily fill that space.

me like the gnome  and ya, strain choice can play a part, and midgetz will turn into monsterz when u ain't lookin, haha  :growing: ppp

My 1 critical + 2.0 has completely taken over my 2x2x4 grow tent, strain/genetics/care def play a part in how big she'll get ;)

My vote is no more than two. One would be my preference first to see how you get on with autoflowers.

If you will start them off in 3 gallons, you could start as many as you can fit in the tent and as they grow or outgrow the space cull or give away the plants that are less desirable/healthy. It can be wasteful, but you will have the potential to save the better plant(s).
Just a suggestion.

I have three autos from one breeder growing right now that I moved outdoors. Two are bushy short 24 inch phenos with a tight central cola and smaller side branches. The other of the same strain was 55 inches above the soil in the pot when I measured it last week with smaller buds all along on each of the tree like branches. My larger tent is a 48" x 48" x 80" tent and there is no way I could fit more than one auto of that size in the tent.

I have a Fastbuds Gorilla Glue plant outside also, it was at 52" last week. It was recommended to plant in a 11 gallon planter. I was planting several smaller strains that day in recommended 3 gallon pots and accidentally planted the Gorilla Glue in the smaller pot. Measured it last week and it was 52 inches above the soil. Fastbuds site says maximum height is 40 inches. You would think the plant would be stunted because I planted it in such an undersized felt pot.

I have a 2'x2'x5' tent in my basement that I grew three plants in 5 gallon containers. Basement stays around 60 degrees in the Winter and when grow light is on the temperature in the tent stays around 70 degrees. Plants of the strain I was growing reached about 20".

Currently, I have two plants in my 4'x4'x6'8" tent. A Fastbuds Pineapple Express that has a large central cola and smaller side ones and a Fastbuds Mexican Airlines plant that was topped, has multiple colas and both plants are probably around three feet tall and nearing harvest. I could probably fit one or possibly two more plants in the tent if I removed the large oscillating fan from the tent.

Thank all for the input! I like the idea of running a bunch and culling the worst ones I have no shortage of beans, it would be the soil I would want to reuse.
