I read through your whole post, and if you posted what nutrients you used and when, I missed it.

I feed with every watering, diluted to package directions. This lets me stop at any time. You can't take back top dressing.

Read some of the posts about flushing if you haven't already.

Can you soak dry amendments in water

Yes, it's called making a tea....or so I call it, lol. But as the dry amendments break down more over time, you should still dress with the material even after making tea with it.

Small update. The weather has been good enough for the girls to spend some time in the poly tunnel and have loved it. If you look closely I think they are smiling They have definately put on some weight, and the smell when the sun hits them - wow! It is also saving me some money on the electric bill... winner winner
