I had good luck with the good old hang and jar for cure. You seem to be on your shit with the grow let's see how the dry and cure goes. Was the 11 ounces the entire plant? She looks good bro! Can't wait for the smoke report!

11 zips was all trimmed colas so I will end up with 3-4 zips dry!

I hang them up in the dark tent to dry for a few days - until the stems snap instead of just bend... if that makes any sense.

Then cut up and jarred with a humidity pack. Ideally you want them at about 62% humidity, and when you jar em up its either going to be dryer or wetter than that. The humidity packs are a real handy tool to keep them in the ideal humidity.

The two biggest enemies to organic compounds (at least relevant to this discussion) are O2 which reacts with and breaks down molecules, and UV light, which introduces energy that does more damage as well as accelerate any oxidation. Sealed in a jar, the O2 will get consumed pretty quickly (thats why the jar always to seem under a bit of a vacuum when you open them after a few days)

Burping the jars for a few weeks after jarring lets in more O2, which I think helps with degassing the chlorophyll.


Edit: Continued exposure to UV even without O2 will continue to do damage as well, so I just keep em out of the sun.

Thanks guys! This grow is 50% complete. I had 11 zips wet of course with stalks to hang and ended up with 2.8 zips/80 grams dry. Gonna start the curing process and get everything ready for the beast Reba tangerine dreams harvest. She is flushing now. Won't be long before she's on the drying rack! Getting ready to start the journals for 4 new plants, 1 is Dolly the sour kush which is 61 days old but she's in a 7 gallon fabric pot, she's on the same nutrients as always greenleaf nutrients. I also have 2 cosmic bomb autos that are 1 week today and a gorilla glue that's 1 week today. Look for those journals and stay tuned to see the finish of Reba tangerine dream in the next few days...
