New Grower New grower with questions

I'm still new to this "indoor growing" thing, So don't take my word for gospel. I went from outdoor guerrilla grows, to doing every thing inside. I'm not used to having this level of control, and all the variables involved.
I lurked for quite some time before I even bought seeds or lights.

No, I am just saying the manual states NOT to use the bloom switch independently. Probably to keep the unit cooled properly with both fans on, but thats just speculation.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info

I don't use those lights but I just keep an eye on them and lower a bit until you have the sweet spot.

Sent from my comfy chair.

No problem Indo, I'm no seasoned pro either, but I enjoy helping people any way that I can! Your light coverage is going to be pretty sweet with all four of those. I'm a bit jealous I have only one in a 3x3!!

I also have the reflector series. So are you recommending that I keep both switches on from start to finish?
I used to run my led lights continuously on full spectrum from the get go. Though my led lights were not as strong as your lights.

For the first week or two I started my led lights in the range of 26"-32", while keeping a watchful eye on stretch.

Those switches on vipar's are just pimping to sell the unit. Keep them both switched on, your plant will want that full spectrum of diodes in veg (unless you are trying to save on electric)... seedlings I would start at around the 24 - 30 " mark and let the plants grow towards the light. If you see them showing any form of light / heat stress raise the light by a few inches. As you start to move into flower you want to be around the 18 - 15" mark but this can be stain dependent (auto's can be a lot more fussy and some can like a lot less light than photo's)... I've grow fastbuds GG as she can be quite photon hungry, she liked to get real close, about 10- 8" from my lights and I run much more powerful LED's (cobs). Also she is CAL/Mag beast and will eat it up like its going out of fashion.

get some pics up dude and then we can see what your set is all about, then we can help out a lot better.

Oops, posted in wrong thread! I am going to utilize this information as I basically asked the same question in my thread, ultimately. Sorry for posting accidentally in yours!
