New grower with a deficiency

Medium: coco and perlite
Feed: cal mag and general hydroponic
Water: half rap half spring ro
Strain: nyc diesel
Light: 250 actual watt led 32” above
Climate: 73-81 RH 50-60
Water daily and nutes every other day or every 3rd day

Was the coco flushed to low ppm before planting? If not, the coco is messing with the cal/mag uptake. Also, coco is an every day feed medium. You can treat as hydro, as long as your not "amending " with organic matter.

No watering in coco. Feed feed feed.

Like Arthur said, never just feed plain water with coco, messes with the cocos CEC and it’s high need for calcium and magnesium. Every watering should be with nutrients. Also, do you have a pH pen to check the feeds level?

It looks like a mg deficiency to me (most likely from the plain h20 waterings). How much cal-mag are you mixing in?

Ok I will start feeding daily. I have ph balanced the water, I’ve kept it around 6.5 but am starting to drop around 6. I did notice that my runoff was reading at 7. That could be part of the reason. I use about 3ml of calmag

I don’t think I did flush before planting. If I did I don’t think it was ph’d. Rookie mistake. I fed tonight with 5ml calmag which I will continue to stay at 5 if that’s ideal.

With coco you want it around 5.8, that’s the sweet spot.

In coco, you need to monitor pH and ppm going in, and coming out, with about 15-25% run-off each time,... coco is a specialized soilless medium, it can't be treated like true soil or problems will pop up constantly,... without this info, we can't be sure of anything for cause... off pH, ppm's out of range causing a lockout/poor uptake, plain lack of,.. coco has weird CEC properties, it hog Ca and Mg to a lesser degree, keeping it from the roots until; sated.... it's not an easy medium to master, and is anything but true soil! Treat it like that, and shit will show soon enough,....
