New Grower New Grower Tangerine Dream

You want your run off EC to be fairly close to what your feed EC is. That’s showing you the plant is using everything you’re putting into it, and excess’s are not building up in the medium.

Easy smoking! [emoji869]
Thanks man, makes alot of sense.

That's exactly what I do. I can see what and how much she's eating. And keep the root zone in that sweet spot wich makes the plants grow faster and yield higher. The runoff test is so important and most ppl only do it when something goes wrong. I do it to prevent problems and figure out if a plants a heavy feeder or light feeder. Oh and it saves alot of nutrients. Its a win win win.
Makes sense! I wish I would have watched that video you linked for me months ago!

Ok watered again this morning. I usually use one gal. I increased to 1 1/2 gal.

Nute mix 2/1/4 cal mag/micro/ bloom
Ph: 6.0
PPm going in 540

Marie run off: 1138 ppm ph 6.2
Righty run off: 1565 ppm ph 6.0

Going down but I think I’ll just keep at using a touch more water.

No other changes in the leaves. I’m shocked the right plant hasn’t done the same thing. She’s high in ppm but seems to be very resilient to my noob tactics.

That guy in the video is the only guy I listen to when it comes to growing. He wrote the growers handbook and owns hydroselect. He's also always on growing exposed the tv series.

For example my gorilla glue is getting fed at around 400ppm and when I feed her I'm getting 150ppm runoff. Wich means she's eating almost everything I'm feeding her and she couldn't be more healthy. She gets the base nutrients 2 ml each a&b, 1 ml B-52, 2 ml voodoo juice and 1ml cal mag plus. And once you learn to read the leaves you can see what sh needs more of or less of. I learned by doing it all the wrong way first and from failed grows. Best way to learn lol.

Lesson learned!

Day 86 day 57 flower

Fed 2/1/4 at ph 6.0 1 1/2 gal. Ppm 580

Marie run off: 830 ppm ph 6.5
Righty run off: 1100 ppm ph 6.4

Checked trichs over the weekend just to see how they were looking and Marie is about 50% cloudy 50% clear. Righty is about 50% cloudy and a few amber.

I’ll post some pics soon! Not much has changed visually at least to my eyes.

Their coming down. The gradual decrease should help prevent shock. As far as their looks go it's very hard to change leafs apperance after they discolor or burn so don't go by the leaves to see if their getting better you should be able to see if their getting healthier by how much their drinking.

Ok good thank you! They are drinking more now than they ever have. I’m watering every 24 hours. Up from 32-36 last week.

For my next round....how often do you water a 5 gal pot in coco? I know the stages are different but I’d like to get as much knowledge as possible.

Should I water with less more often? Or stay with about a gallon?

I hate 5 gallon bags. I got one now and it takes way to long to dry out and it takes up alot of space. Watering depends on your perilite and other factors as well. My 5 gallon takes around 3/4 of a gallon to give me sufficient runoff. If your plants are drinking more now that's a great sighn they are recovering and getting healthier. The first thing I notice about a plant having issues is her water uptake. Healthy plants drink alot and sick ones dont. Looks like your back on track.

Cool! Funny you should say that I noticed over the last two weeks the sick plant was drinking less. I thought It was maybe just the cycle so that’s good to know!
