Hi starting my first grow ever in the next few weeks I've had to use my shed and built a box inside measuring 1mx1mx1.7m got royal queen seeds critical auto and going to plant in coco

Which way would you most recommend as the easiest for me to germinate?

How many plants would you put under a 600w hps in the space I have available ?

I'm using Dutch pro grow/bloom auto feed so would you stick to the dose there feeding schedule recommends or would you tweak it a little ?

How long do i need to wait before I feed them first ?

The shed is metal which stays cool all day long what kind of air intake shoukd I be looking at ?

Sorry for all the questions like I said I'm new to it all and to be honest I dont wanna mess it up

Cheers

Autos can get big in coco, so your vertical height might not be enough. RoyalQueen says 140 cm outside height, and coco might get you close to that.
Rapid Rooters are an excellent way to start seeds.
2-4 plants will fit that space, depending on strain size.
Sprouts can be lightly fed after a couple days.
Most people use a passive intake, along with an exhaust fan and carbon filter. What gets exhausted by the fan will get sucked in passively.
Not a coco user, so that's all I can try to answer.

Critical auto from rqs is meant to be a short growing one I think

Will have a look at rapid rooters now

Cheers

Everyone germs their seeds different. I take a small container/shot glass and put 30mls of water into it. Then drop seed into that. At about 24hrs the seeds have sank to the bottom and you should see a small tail starting to break through. I then soak my pot with light nutrient solution in the coco again, since I've already pre soaked it a day or two before. Then make a 3/8" deep hole with chopstick, carefully place germed seed root down into hole, lightly cover up with loose coco and water around with remaining water from container/shot glass. Then in about 2 days they are breaking surface with your new babies.

I use coco pellets on a ceramic plate and put a humidity dome (plastic cookie container with hole at top of one wall and one opposite lower wall) over plate and set on heat mat. Before that I used the paper towel method, with seeds in shot glass first (12-24 hours) set on heat mat, then in paper towel on the ceramic plate and put that in a plastic zip lock, blow it up (humidity dome), set on heat mat. Both methods worked well for me.
I'm using Dutch pro grow/bloom auto feed so would you stick to the dose there feeding schedule recommends or would you tweak it a little ?
Begin nutes at 1/4 the published amount to see how that goes and move up from there. Auto's are notorious for nute burn.

Yeah will bear it all in mind guys . Do you think I would be silly to try the rapid rooters method without a heat mat ? All's I would need really are the blocks and a dome either shop bought or home made . Sorry once again for all the questions

i would recommend for your first time putting the seed in it final pot as soon as it germinates no cubes cuts all the stress out and never be sorry for asking question mate we are a helpfull friendly bunch on here also when the tme comes start a journal you will get alll the help you need to get growing your own stash best of luck

Thanks mate . Gonna germinate in paper towel and then put them straight into coco I think will be best for me and less stress for the girls . I was thinking about starting a grow diary as it woukd be good to look back on and see if or when I went a little wrong

Just received my Dutch pro auto starter pack so trying to get my head round the feed chart

I just need to order fan and then we are pretty much ready to start

What's everyone's take on using coco for my first grow ? Will it be the easiest/safest one for me to use ?? Advice welcomed
