Hi everyone,

First grow in about 40 years and first legal grow! I’ve been lurking for a few weeks and picked up so much valuable info that I thought I would share.

2x4x5 tent
4’ 4 bulb T5
Warm white CFL for side lighting
Cheapo 12”x12” LED panel for side lighting
FFOF medium in 3 gallon pots
NTFG Sample Kit started in the 4th week, just water for 1st 3 weeks
Strain is Great White Shark auto

It has been 34 days since seeds sprouted. I planted directly in the pots. Did LST for the first 2 weeks or so and was worried about stressing them so I discontinued. Haven’t killed them yet. Here are some photos at 34 days of 18/6.

:pighug:
Thanks, really excited. First time to have buds. Back in the ‘70s around here it was just all leaves. Gets so hot that the outdoor photoperiod plants never made it to flower before burning up unless you had some kind of irrigation system which was too risky. I guess that’s why we called it grass.

Welcome. There's a few of us that run NFTG. If you run into issues, make sure to get a nectar grower on it. It is one nutrient line that does not present the same as sodium based lines. Corrective actions for those, tend to make issues with NTFG worse . Eye on pH and ppm. I ran FF for a long time, dumped it 2 years ago when I started running this line. Soil pH would drop about week 3 of flower. Dynamite product, just needs a different touch.

Thanks Arthur, in my lurking about and searching, I have read many of your posts and used some of your suggestions already. We don't have much variety on medium where I live without ordering online and the shipping is a killer. I can choose from FFOF FFHF or Coco Coir right now. I will keep an eye on the PH and maybe use some liquid calcium if necessary. I think I am in week 2 of true flowering right now.

W-W-W-WELCOME to AFN dude:welcome::welcome::welcome:....very happy to have you here, you have already met two of the excellent AFN members above....and your plant has crowned nicely, so I think you are right in your estimate, two weeks into bloom, everything looks great in the tent dude, moving along well, Welcome again and Happy Growing .......:pass:

As long as your watching, you should be fine. Soil is easier than coco with this line as well, coco can be done, but much more a razor to ride. FF would be my choice if coco was the other option. Coco runs are expensive too. I use almost 3 times the nutrients on a coco run.
Might search a few local nurseries too, sunshine #4 is pretty common, and it's the same product as nectar #4. Heard The Beard say that himself.

Day 42 Update NTFG

Day 42. Getting some frost. Added a Harbor Freight LED to the (4) T5 fixture. Still no nute burn or deficiencies. Loving this. Beginner's luck? They are about 3 feet tall plus the pot. Have the lights as high as they will go. They were growing 2 inches per day during th he stretch. Not growing taller now. This bud is a lower bud, not even at the top.

Here are a couple of photos this morning. One photo is both plants from above. Glad I only started two plants in this 2x4 tent, they have filled it up.

One strange thing is both seeds same strain, germinated the same day, flowered together, fed the same nutrients, rotated in the tent every couple of days but the buds on one are much more dense on the plant on the right. The plant on the left has many more, but smaller bud sites. Both healthy and vegetative-wise identical.
