My first grow spent most of its life waterlogged.heavy sandy soil.next grow wernt much better i added a load of vermiculite as i couldnt find perlite, waterlogged again.found perlite and now my soil is light and fluffy and can give the pot a good soaking almost everyday.20% added to soil can make a big difference.
Dude I have done sooooo much research before I started this grow it’s not even funny. Took me probably seven months to research and gather all the needed equipment and to finally get it all started! I was really hoping to not make too many mistakes which I think I’m on the right track.
I run my Autopots in layers. First layer is the filter( basically it's landscaping cloth), then clay pebbles about 4" worth, then I go half way with 60/40 coco/clay pebble mix, and the top half gets 70/30 coco/perlite. Seems to support plant better in all phases, especially during root development of weeks 2 to 4.
But, that's just me. There are so many ways that work.
Hmmm I’m gonna have to look into this kinda method a little bit more. This intrigues me!
