Hi guys. I introduced myself yesterday so maybe some of you remember me. Like I said yesterday, I’m so excited to be here!

Using FoxFarm trio at half strength along with calmag half strength, all with every feeding about every two to three days.

Soil is 50% organic soil, 20% coco, 15% perlite and 15% worm castings.

Using three 300w led panels. Two Viparspectra r300’s and one Bloomspect bs300. Growing in a 2x4x5’ tent with 4in in-line fan and carbon filter pulling fresh outside air in since it’s summer here.

Temps are kinda high around 82f degrees average and 55% humidity average.

Anyway, I need help. I’m in the process of growing three plants. One super hash auto and two nyc diesel autos. The grow has been very smooth up until now, and still is going good, for two plants at least!

My two nyc diesel plants are healthy. One of them showed nitrogen deficiency but was resolved within a couple days. Around that same time, my super hash plant started the same exact symptoms. But as the diesel plants symptoms subsided, super hash was getting worse.

Starting at the bottom, some leaves were turning yellow and dying, JUST LIKE it had nitrogen deficiency. So I upped the grow big from half strength to full strength for one feed and even did a grow big folliar spray. All leaving me with the same sick plant that keeps getting more sick. The yellowing is moving farther up and has taken about 12 leaves now.

Well I fed her this morning, and like I always do I checked on her at 1pm while on my lunch break. A big fan leaf that had just recently started yellowing is now showing some kind of brown spot in the middle of the leaf. It’s starting to make me second guess nitrogen deficiency. Noticing some very slight browning on some yellowing leaf edges also.

I really want to get this lady fixed up because otherwise she seems very healthy. White hairs looking nice. Any help at all is super appreciated. And if you need anymore info from me that I left it please let me know!

im crap at the defs/toxs game but to me its not N as thats a gradual yellowing bottom up.this is going yellow between the veins and the rest of it is a deep green.i dont like the way folks group cal/mag together its not cal as thats lil brown dots could it be mag ? but if the garden aint going right finding out the ph is top priority.
but as always im an eejit, and never take the advice of the first numpty to offer their advice allways get a forth opinion.
pop into live stonners gossip flash a pic.
good luck n keep er lit.

Magnesium, manganese, or iron deficiency. Can't really tell. But if ph gets too high in the medium it could start to lock out manganese and iron.
Do you have a analog meter to check ph of soil?

Ph should not be above 6.5, at 6.6 and higher, those two elements can get locked out causing the deficiency it looks like you might have. The fact that your medium is part soil, part coco, and worm castings, I am not sure exactly what the ph of that medium would be. I am guessing it might even be a touch lower, meaning at 6.4 to 6.5 you could already be out of range.
Without being on the spot and seeing it, that is about all I can do to help. Just like [HASHTAG]#archie gemmill[/HASHTAG] said, get the ph right. Just with your medium, I am not exactly sure what the ph should be. Need to know where it is now.

Ok so I honestly don’t know my soil ph, and I’ll tell you why. I don’t own one of those soil ph meter probes and also I NEVER HAVE ANY RUN OFF after feeding?!? So I can’t test runoff.

Idk why my soil isn’t draining right, I used a recommended soil recipe from the inter webs. I thought maybe I just wasn’t watering enough, but when I water enough to get some runoff, the plant exhibit bad overwatering symptoms.

I also noticed roots coming up near the top of the soil last week. I was recommended to just put a small layer of fresh soil over them. Why is that happening?

If my soil is part of the issue, what can I do to at least get through this grow with a decent harvest?

You can't really test runoff when you are using coco and get an accurate reading because there are trace salts and elements in the coco form the fact it's a tropical plant and has those from its seaside origins. Dom the worry about that part. Also coco holds moisture a lot more than soil and does not require watering as often. Roots coming to the surface is strange, but not too concerning. As long as it's not too wet around your stem, this is ok, and these roots will actually turn brown and help the plant uptake Oxygen. Read it many years ago. No worries at all. Pot is probably very full of roots, so that's a good thing.

My suggestion is to lower ph ,but Just slightly. 6.1 to 6.5 is like saying, don't worry man, I know where I parked your car for sure, it's somewhere between Chicago and Detroit.
More precise my friend.:d5:
You need to run at 6.2 for two days and then check back. If you run in soil, you need a soil ph meter. These are your babies now, so get the stuff they need and we can get them back on track. They started lovely. You did a great job man. They will be fine, but we need to get our growers caps on and not dumb this grow down and screw up those lovely girls.

the good thing is its only the one plant effected, and its the different plant.my thoughts are that its just a sensitive plant, could be a combination of a few things overwater/smidge high ph too much N not enough of something else.
at least you nave pen and know ph of the in part, half way there.
dont flush just back off the nutes and watering a touch and keep posting.
get us pics of all 3 maybe someone can see something the rest of us cant.
keep er lit.
