Hi all! :toke: Hope everyone is gooood! So, I’m just finishing up my first grow after some 8/9 years and I have to say it has run pretty sweet. My setup is a 60x60x120 tent (I started small to see if I still had it) and the 2 autos are sitting under a 400w dual spec Hps at 10 inches. Heat is overall not really a problem and fairly easy to manage using a 6inch exhaust fan and a cheap ac chiller.
Im ready to start a next grow but this time bigger, 8-10 autos. I have purchased a 240x120x160 tent but now I’m after new lighting. LED is completely new to me in the growing world since HPS was the only way. I’m thinking a MarsHydro sp6500. How do Led grown plant yields compare? Also I gather these don’t produce anywhere near the heat of a Hps bulb. So how do you manage heat in the grow space, Just a heater? What sort of humidity levels am I expecting? As hps keeps humidity fairly low. Basically what I’m after is a bit of modern day set up advice!
Any input would be great:headbang:

What's your budget? Do you need waterproofing?

DIY is the cheapest route to cover that entire space.

I manage my heat inside the tent with a heater on a controller. My humidity is managed for the whole room so I can't say you'll get less or more with LED. Less heat is slower transpiration but you'll want to follow VPD and adjust.

I've had nothing but good luck with LED and yield.

I'll second DIY LED ! Extremely easy built for 60% of the price!
High end LEDs for a 4x8 can be quite expensive.
I did the 4x4 built with 4' strips.Stupid easy!

Hey y'all...First time grower. I'm running 2 northern lights big bud auto in a mars hydro 3x3 powered by a 300w Bloom plus 3000...I got the height super high at like 38 inches cuz its super strong and it gives a general lux of 171 which is like 280 par right now..I got the ac infinity t6 inline fan for the exhaust and a small ac infinity 6 inch one for the active intake...

Ima be running biobuzz nutrients in roots organic 707 soil along with some insect frass for good measure..

I also put some spare lighting on the side to hit those lower sights(be a shame not to use them)

I got the girls germinating in root riot tips plugs in a station at 87 degrees 87 humidity...

I'll deff be needing some tips along the way...lol...wish me luck on this adventure...

What's your budget? I don't suggest SP 6500 light for your 240x120cm tent. There are 2 choices for your reference.

2 units TS 3000 light. which is 450w, and the coverage is for 120x120cm flower and 150x150cm veg, total 900w for 240x120cm tent.
2 units FC 4800 light, which is 480w, the same coverage as TS 3000, total 960w for 240x120cm tent.

The differences between TS 3000 and FC 4800 are the diodes and shape design. TS is the Episatr diodes, with the reflector. FC are Samsung lm30b and Osram diodes, more efficiency, and the bar-style design make the light distribute more evenly.

Hi there thanks for your response to my thread! My budget is £800 (uk) for lighting so the route I would have to head down is the TS series. Where do these ship from?
Thanks again.
