New Grower New Auto-grow Journal v1.01

This is my very first cannabis grow. Fact is, this is the first time I have ever seen live cannabis.
Any help or suggestions from the "experts" would be greatly appreciated.

After obtaining a Medicinal Cannabis Card from my State, I have obtained some equipment and begun my first grow.

Currently I am on day 9 but will recap from the beginning...

A1.01: Industrial Plant CBD Auto

Breeder: CBD Crew
Variety: Mostly Indica
THC:CBD ratio: 1:2
Yield: 25 - 50 gr/plant
Plant Height: Less than 1 meter
Flowering Time: 60 - 65 days

A1.02: Med Gom CBD Auto

Breeder: Dinafem Seeds
Genetics: Industrial Plant x Pure CBD Plant
Variety: Indica / Sativa
THC/CBD Ratio: 1:2.25
Yield: 300 - 500 gr/m2 indoors
Plant Height: 1.2 meters
Flowering Time: 70 days from germination

Day 01: (March 02, 2018)
Placed two auto's in separate glasses of distilled water with 1tsp H202 @ 75 degrees F

o Dilute 1 teaspoon to 8oz distilled water.

o Separate solution into to glass container equally

o submerge 1 seed from two different strains in each glass

o maintain temperature between 70 - 75 deg F

Day 2:
After 40 hours(after each seed appeared to be splitting/showing its root) transfer each seed to paper towel method

o Place near cheep florescent grow-lights. (CFL's were 8-12 inches from seeds...too far)

Day 3:
o Transferred to rockwool cubes



Day 7:
Transferred to 4x4"x7" grow tent
Rockwool/Coir Temp - 67-72 deg F
Can feel very little heat on back of hand at plant level so do not expect any burning issues.
Humidity - 45-51%
Using 1 400W LED COB grow-light with 100% Veg, 20%Bloom at aprox. 24 inches from seedlings. Light timer set for (19/5), 5AM - 12Midnight.
A1.01 is about 2.5 inches while A1.02 is at 1.5 inches. A1.02 was struggling to get out of its seed shell earlier. Or maybe it's just a shorter strain.
To me, the plants look a bit stretched, which I believe would be a result of insufficient light.


Day 9:
Will be ordering a cool-mist humidifier to increase levels. The low humidity is really dependent on the season in my area. I can use it for my bedroom when not growing. I do need one.



Nutrient Plan:
Will be growing in 100% Coco Coir and using "General Hydroponics" Flora Series (Drain - Waste Program). Eventually I will have 2 400W MaxBloom COB LED lights running.

Med Gom CBD Auto

I've grown that strain in the past. I don't know if you are aware, but the high is different being 2:1. It's light. There is no silliness that is normally associated with the thc side. You can go about your day unencumbered.

Day 10

Made seedling nutrient solution using "General Hydroponics" Flora Series

Below is a 75% solution for seedlings. Wanted to go lite as flushing for "overages" is more difficult and these two girls are just too young to mess with at this time.

FloraMicro - 1.5ml
FloraGrow - .75ml
FloraBloom - .75ml

Adjusted pH to 6.0

Watered seedlings

Just realized that my GrowLight was at 80%-90% and not 100% -- now 100% @ 18in.

Temp is low @ 70-74 degF - need to get it consistently at or above 75deg F Will tighten up vent holes a bit tonight as temp falls too much during this period.
Humidity has been low @ 39%-46% waiting for a cool mist humidifier to arrive in a few days. Also waiting on some RapidStart to arrive as well.

Day 11
Was a bit concerned with the amount of water I gave to my seedlings as I had read that they should stay on the dry-side. My two small pots seemed a bit heavy. I am now thankful that I can get the humidity down to the high 30's as I am now using this air to dry out the Coir/rockwool medium.

Watering: You should only water your marijuana plants when they are dry... not damp, let the top of the surface actually get crusty dry.


Be sure to let your plants get dry before watering again. Besides appearance, you can "lift" the plant and check it's weight. When really light - you know the plant is dry.
