Ok this is my first grow with dwc and I've been growing it about 2 months now. ok my set up as of now is a 18 gallon res, gh trio nut, gh ph up and down, two air pumps 5v each, 4 air stones. Ph is always between 5.5 and 6.1, water temp is around 68-72, I even add in h2o2 to be safe. Now the issues I've been having is I get this white gel on the roots and bottom of the net cup and on the bubble stones. About 3 weeks in I first got it and did a h2o2 bath and cleaned everything then put everything back. It was good for about 2 weeks then it came back. Now no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to go away. I've read about a micro tea I could use but not sure any help would be awesome. I only have one picture of what it looks like right now but can post more.

Welcome to AFN! :welcome: The best canna forum this side of the universe!
I used to grow RDWC for years, quit a few years back. I wouldn't add anything to try and fix it. You'll want to keep that water temp lower, i used to try and stay at 65-67. If you can do that and make sure there are absolutely no light leaks to the water, you won't get that root slime. I used to freeze gallon jugs everyday and float them in the reservoir throughout summer to keep my temps in check. You'll need to clean your system of that crap, sterile as possible and start again. I've been out of it for awhile so there may be new more relevant info than what I can provide.
I'll try and get you some help in here for ya, someone that's currently doing hydro.
Good luck and happy Growing.

Iampepe thanks for the tip and for the help. I've looked on all kinds of sites and forms the only thing that I've read about that I haven't tried was adding microbs to the waster. There's no light leaks made sure of that. This is my first attempt I knew I would have a few problems

Hi @Learninggrower welcome to AFN you can mix up and use microbe teas but its much easier to run a sterile system.
H202 works but only for a short time.
Can you get hold of hydroguard from botanicare or sm-90 from nutrilife either of these products will solve your problem and allow you to run with a warmer res without slime bulid up.
Use either of these products at 2ml per gallon

How much space there is between the netpot and the water surface? With that low temperatures and good oxygenation it seems unlikely that you would develop issues so I would suspect the lack of proper oxygenation. Do you have any visible symptons on the top, stunting, discoloration or anything? I would attempt to gently clean some of it out, use some enzyme products and beneficial bacteria products such as AN's Voodoo Juice or Hydroguard.

wow that shit looks nasty never seen anythin like that before. just what the guys said though. i use sm-90 at 0.5ml per litre and have had zero res issues thus far and my res has been over 30*c the whole way through. its awesome stuff.

Welcome to AFN my friend...........eP.

Try and avoid botanicare products if you can. If you care about the future of canna that is. Bayer alert!! Boo!

Ok thanks for the tips guys. What does the sm-90 do? Also I've been reading do you think great white would help?
