Grow Mediums Need4Weed's 1st Auto-Pots Grow with 2X CDLC, Sour Crack & Psychofruit

Update day 2
I've been having some germination issues, (which seems like a bad thing with all the plants eventually running on the same nutes). I've had to replant one of the CDLC, as it turned out to be a dud. I've dropped another in it's place and will be planting it later this evening. I've also had a couple helmet heads too. One, (Sour Crack), was removed successfully, but the other, (Strawberry Nuggets), was accidentally decapitated. This just happened, (I was giving her one more night to open up on her own), so I started thinking of a replacement candidate that's a fast finisher, (to catch up with the others), and I decided on an old favorite by Cream of the Crop called Psychofruit. She's very fast, (60 days), and has the best blueberry smell that I've ever had, (Blueberry X Critical+). Here's a little write-up about her.

"Super fast and aggressively potent, the classic Blueberry has been given a mad twist with scary results!! Far from unstable, this baby grows hard compact buds of red, purple and blue, surprising growers with her mesmerising colour displays. She has a soft, fruity side with an intense Blueberry/Skunk taste, but does have another personality that is dark, uncompromising and very powerful, owing thanks to the Critical+. With a strong, euphoric and very long lasting high, she truly is...
...PSYCHOTHERAPY GONE MENTAL!!!!"

I was lucky enough to have a problem with an order with Ali-bongo a couple years ago, (which I felt was much more my fault as payment had been declined using 2 different cards). I was expecting one 5 pack of the Psychofruit and they sent me 5 packs for my troubles! I've since given several seeds away, but I still have around a dozen and I love the blueberry smell. I'll get some pics up soon of the 2 new babies! :pass:

Here's a few pics of what's happened so far. First, a group shot with the "just planted" CDLC #2, (far left), Sour Crack, (middle), and the healthiest looking so far ... CDLC #1, (far right).

I'll be planting the Psychofruit in about 12 hours. :headbang::pass:

Good to see the babies up! I'll follow along too as I use AutoPots as well. I didn't like them at first but once I got the hang of it I really liked them. I want to replace the blue aquavalves with the new grey ones tho as I have some issues with clogging. (I just flush the lines with a large syringe but I'd love the faster filling etc of the new units).

So glad to have you aboard @RivetGrrl :bighug: I just went to check to see what color mine are and I got the grey ones. I've also heard of growers increasing the hose size to reduce line clogging. I had been using SM-90 as a friction reducer/root enhancer, but I'm about out and you can't buy it anymore online. So I picked up some General Hydroponics FloraKleen to use as a monthly flush. Anyways, any tips and/or advice is welcomed and appreciated! :pass:

I've seen a bunch of people with autopots on reddit suggest Drip Clean. I'm thinking about getting some in fact.

....maybe I should get some airdomes for my next grow. Almost every autopot user has them.
Everyone I know that have auto-pots uses them and I believe the auto-pots website claims that air domes increase yield. If they do increase yield, than they most certainly would pay for themselves possibly after just 1 grow.:pass:

Well, I don't have any advice off hand and I know there are way more experienced growers out there, but I will chime in for sure if I notice anything or can answer any questions. Lucky you got the grey ones! My lines are usually OK, it is where the liquid comes out right at the aquavalve that gets clogged for me, and they increased that opening size on the grey units. I have little dental brushes that fit perfect to "ream" out the little hole but I'd rather not, right? I just flush the lines with water to push anything through as well, but I wonder if the FloraKleen would be better? (Or the Drip Clean Saven mentioned).

I have been using soil in the AP's but I just grabbed a bag of coco/perlite mix to try coco again, it sucked for me before but I have an urge to try it again as it can be great if I get the hang of it.

Hey that's a great idea too, I haven't tried that stuff yet but I have actually seen it on the shelves up in Canada (that's a big deal, since we don't get most of the products a lot of other places do). I was just at the hydro store today and it's out of town, so I'll have to grab some next time I'm there. Thanks for the tip!

BTW Pops22 is an autopot wizard, do you ever chat with him? He has some great info that really challenges a lot of things, that I enjoy reading.

I just found and purchased a 1 litre bottle from "The Hydro Store" off of ebay for $7 cheaper! Thanks for the suggestion as I'd rather have in in the reservoir 100% of the time, than once monthly for the other. :pass:
