Every plant is different.. I've never even fed my photo period plants with an ec that high. You've been pretty lucky so far if you've never had an issue feeding that high. Keep in mind, the feed schedule you are using is not designed for autos.. It's also not a list of instructions.. Feed charts are suggestions. How do you know the ec is too high? The plant tells you. The plant is what tells you everything you ever need to know.. Not a feed chart, not us in these forums, lol.. The plant calls the shots. If your plant is not feeding (input ec is close to or higher than run off ec), any signs of change in leaf color or look. If you look at the rust colored marks on the leaves, they look exactly like a boron deficiency.. Does this mean add a source of boron? Not necessarily. If you look at the lockout chart, boron can be locked out by having too much calcium in the medium. That's what I mean by a delicate balance. Too much of one single nutrient can lock out several others all at once. There is a huge thread in the Mega Crop section where people are trying to master using the different versions of mega crop with autos. Perhaps that thread can give you an idea of how to keep it dialed in. Just know that every plant from seed is different, some are heavy feeders, some light feeders, some are sensitive to certain nutes, some can handle what ever you throw at em.. And that feed charts are not instructions on how to grow a plant.. They are suggestions, and 90% of them do not and did not have autoflowers in mind when designing them. And that the plant has the first and last word. Not us humans.. The plant will tell you what it likes/dislikes, what it needs, and when. Our job is to recognize these signs and be ready to act quickly, as autos have zero recovery time.Somehow I missed the whole second part of your comment Proph. I didnt see anything after the pic. I believe my EC is higher going in than coming out. I just must have written down the wrong numbers. I will check again when I get home. How can I determine an exact EC for a plant? I know that some people have criticized my amount, but I am still under the recommended dosage for my nutrient line (MegaCrop, BE, SC). This is also the first plant I have ever had trouble with, at least a trouble that I have noticed. My last plants were pushed harder at 2.2ec in late flower with no issues, looked beautiful, and packed on 9&10oz. One did get a slight touch of burn towards the end. So, my question is how do I know when I have hit an EC that is too high? If I feed my 10 day old plants at .4 ec they turn lime green and do not grow. My nutes call for .55 ec at the seedling stage and on my current baby im upping that to .6 just to keep her green. In flower they call for 2.1EC but I have dialed that back a bit. Either my nutes suck or something. Anytime I have tried to dial back to recommended amounts. they look worse and worse. Greenleaf says dial it in by color in veg and then increase PK boosters in flower until basically your plant cant take any more.
