HELLO HYDRO FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very happy to be here..

I started a thread in the Dutch Passion sub forum but then changed over to some Nebula Cheese clones. So thought I better scarper over here with you kind water loving folks.

Set up: (to see more detail click the link above)
Im running an Alien RDWC Pro with 55l pots
E-Papillon 1000w lights
8 tube T5 lights mounted on the wall for side lighting (more of a joke this than anything, I think already they are going to generate more heat that I need)
12" Airforce 2 / Isomax inlet fan with pre filter & changeable filters
12" Airforce 2 / Isomax outlet fan - high power
Rhino 1200mm carbon filter
Mabo auto fire extinguishers x2
My room is insulated, ply lined and sound proofing has been fitted.

Blue labs EC truncheon + PH Pen + Guardian all in one EC/PH/Temp monitor
Filtered zero ec water
House & Garden Aqua flakes
House & Garden Multizyme
' ' Amino
' ' Root excel
I will look into flower booster nearer the time. I suppose for now I will stick with the House & Garden range.
What you all using?

Ive bought some Nebula Cheese clones, these are standard photo female plants (not auto).
A friend of mine has grown these out over the last few years and the results have been breath taking!
Amazing strong stinky smoke and super hi yield. Fingers crossed we get the same

History...
Ive done 3 soil grows in the last year or so and that was my first time ever in soil. Before then I last grew over 15 years ago, when I used NFT. Soil was not for me, mess and weight for one but I just never felt comfortable with it. My memory of NFT was it was easy as pie. I never once had a problem all those years ago. In soil I hit several problems on each grow and never got my head round it. That said I got some decent results but soil is gone and now Ive got to start over with hydro.

So the clones arrived on Friday and had just rooted there Jiffy Pellets.
I let them calm down for a day or so in an ordinary propagator then set up my new clone aeroponic machine do darr..
Ive used some Formulex nutrient in this clone tank as I understand its nice and easy on the plants. I figure as they have been travelling and pissed about with they will want things nice and gentle for a bit. EC 0.4/0.5 & PH 5.8/6.2

Please dont be fooled by the flash room.
I know very little and forgotten most of what I did know :)
Its more a case of all the gear & no idea at the moment..

Im totally open to help, advice, constructive criticism, opinion and what ever you have to say.
Please dont hold back, please join in and be part of the grow.

Truth be told, Im shitting myself this end... Im desperate not to kill these little darlings off before I get started.
Confidence is low.

Greetings true!
I am subbed for the ride.
Great looking room!

Im sure you'll do great! Subbed if you don't mind mate

Nebula Cheese, Clones from regular post sexed, photo-period plants then True.

They look nice man,............. with roots like those i would imagine they are ready for the Alien right now bro..??.......they look gagging for the bubble res !!

might be worth running a thermal test on the room, just to see what therms you got with all lights on True ?/....

Would heat the water in the 55ltr culture containers, see how she runs in winter temps, will give you an idea of what temp might be at summer high etc..??

get that alien spinning over bro......... take time for it all to settle down. Should run it and flush out plastic smells with pure RO True ?/ before use...... then refill with culture water, and wait for the water temp to come up ?/

Rizoidial Rizotonic vibes your way true, for this grow mate...... and those pure white roots in the res, nice...... you going to go for the active tea etc, then True mate..?/...... HB

Hey, true
Your outfit looks pretty nice.
Once you get them dipped into their homes, you will be able to relax a bit.
Just don't try to feed them too heavy and I think things will go fine..

I haven't run Alien or CC systems yet, I think if I decide to run multiples of one strain, I will use one long common rez per row rather than separate containers with a common rez.

Ive done all the final bits of plumbing today on the Alien. Return pipe work and plumbed in the air pumps.
Tomorrow is fill up and test day. I just dont need a big leak, Ive got my floor all waterproofed but dont need the pain of mopping zillions of litres.
Fingers crossed! :)

Thanks bro, I really hope so. Im frantic at the moment fussing round :)

Funny you mention one long pot, after putting this kit together I thought exactly the same thing.
One of the reasons to switch from soil was all the lifting and lumping... Man ive done plenty of that already and bolting all these pots together is a right pain. Also Im exposed to possible leaks if a seal nips or what ever. There would be no leaks with one long pot.
(note to self, ring the patent office first thing lol)

What do you think to the current EC of 0.4 to 0.5?
What would you recommend for a starting EC in the main pots?

Just one other thing, can I ask you about clay pebbles.
Ive got a bag and washed them 3 or 4 times in a massive tub.
Rinsed them all out and left to dry. Then I read Im supposed to soak them for a few days.
So last night split the bag over two large tubs, filled with water and dropped the ph to 5.8 \ 6.0.
Would you change the water out and repeat this process?
Whats the done thing with these pebbles?
Already I can see there a faf, I cant believe there is not something out there already clean and already stable in terms of PH.

Any questions here are open to all - peace

Dont know what active tea is brother?
Im planning on using House & Garden nutrients and keep things simple as possible.
Ive got a chiller, forgot to mention that in the set up list above. So hopefully with the chiller doing its thing, root problems should not bother me.

Whats this tea then? :)

Might want to put a few drops on H2O2 in with the hydroton.(clay pellets) It isn't as important to ph them as it is to make em sterile. But yes, it would be nice to just rip a bag of em open and drop your clone/seedling right in the net pot with the hydroton.

Teas are normally just made from compost or castings but Active Tea is special in that it has beneficial microbes that prevent snot build up in your system and keep your roots spanking clean. You can make your own teas and innoculate your systems from microbial attack by making your own compost.

Thanks Briman, literally just a few drops?
Use it with caution like PH adjusting or just give it a dash from the bottle in the bucket.
Ive got some H202 not touched it yet or read the bottle.
