Wow!
I just found this site and have to say "Where have I been!?":o

I'm on my first grow (multi strain) and have a huge bottle neck in my lighting schedule due to stunting some seedlings of White Widow and Swiss Cheese now mixed in with my Bubblelicious Autos. But that's another thread.

Can I get some help on these problems? Day 32 from seed pop - Indoor 400watt HID 6" duct 440cfm, lots of fans circulating. Temps 75'-88' RHumid 40-60%

I'm using Jungle Grow Pro Mix and water when dry with 6.3pH/ 35ppm O2. I added Super Thrive a few times early on and a touch of malases after reading about it 4/7. I added 300ppm of Advanced Nutes 3 part Micro and Bloom at even raitos 4/11 but I can't get the leaves back to green. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey, SeaBow. Welcome to the forum.

To me it looks like classic Mag deficiency. If she were mine I'd start ph'ing my water to 6.5 for a while as it may be staying below that at 6.3, in which case mag would be inaccesible (locked out).

In SOME soils.. the ph will buffer (rise) back past 6.5 so the plant gets all it needs from each range.. but if it's not rising in your medium mag is out of reach.

You could give her a foliar feed with epsoms salts to get some into her quickly while you resolve the soil deficiency. There's a how to guide on the forum's front page which expains how.

Don't panic.. this is an issue that can be dealt with relatively easily.

How often are you feeding, and do you know what ec your feed is, too? It doesn't look like mag's being locked out due to an excess of another mineral, so my thoughts are to get some epsoms into her asap and feed/water at 6.5

:peace:

What are your NPK numbers on your nutes? How much nitrogen are you giving them?

My first mistake, I think at least, was using the Jungle Grow soil. So I haven't been feeding them much of anything being the dirt says if feeds for 4 months. Then I read up and learn too late. I hit and missed with a couple of feedings and ended up laying back and watching up to this point. From my notes:

3-10 Germ'd
3-24 Moved from hydro to soil Jungle Growth Grower’s Mix Professional 60%,
Black Cow 15%, Perlite 15%, Earth Worm Castings 10%. watered with 1ml SuperThrive/1gal (it was going to be too hot for hydro)
3-31 2ml Bloom and Micro at 5.7pH 306 ppm for Foliar Feed Spray
4-5 Nutes 3-2-1 ratio 693 ppm
4-7 Water with 1ml SupThr/1tsp molases/ per 1 gal (paniced at this point) 6.3pH/139ppm
4-11 Nutes Micro/Bloom 1-1 ratio 6.3pH/300ppm
4-14 Water 6.5pH

CRAP! I haven't put this in detail until now and I see that I may be killing the bitch with too much love. :(

It looks like you started feeding bloom nutes way to early. You should be feeding them nitrogen with a higher number those bottle nutes dont have enough nit in them thats probably why you leaves are a light green and then you moved them from hydro into soil not a good idea. You really dont need all those bloom nutes one is enough.Ican only recommend flushing and clean all that crap out and get some higher number nitrogen maybe half strengh at first and leave the bloom nutes out for another two weeks.Next grow dont use soil with fert in it use promix or ffof.Your write when you said your loving them to death.

Thanks for the support and advice. I'm going to flush the Bub1 and let her rest. It's funny that Bub2 from the same germ and feeding isn't having these problems. I think it was a soil mix difference. I remember I ran out of something and I would see how it made a difference. I can see it has now.

As far as bloom nutes too early, Adv Nutes call for a balance of all three as you go along, of course at different ratios. I hit the last feeding 4-11 with only Micro and Bloom because reading up on the Lucus formula not ever using the grow. It says that the other have enough N to cover everything.

I found here where a very helpful member (agito) suggests a good soil and boibizz fish mix only throughout the grow and swears by it. That may be the way to go for the flowering of this grow as it's so simple and as he said a monkey could do it.

Beginner's biobizz nutrient advice

While I agree it does look like the start of a M deficiency, I don't see anywhere here where you say what the pH of your soil or your run off is. If your soil pH is off it could very well be a deficiency caused by a nutrient lockout. Before doing anything I would strongly advise that you check the pH of your run off first.

Also, regarding the AN nute recommendations, bear in mind that they are talking photo plants. Auto requirements are different than photos and they generally tend to be a little more nute sensitive. If you want to get the most out of your autos, feed veg nutes through week 5 or 6, or until vertical growth stops. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html

Hey thanks Muddy.

I did flush and checked the runoff at 6.5pH. In fact, I moved both Bubs inside for a better watch. I mixed up some epsom salts and sprayed her and a tomato plant. The tomato plant already looks nice and green again. I can see a little difference in Bub2, as well.

By the way Muddy... are you a Bluesman"?

Good good.

You caught it early so it shouldn't take long to resolve. Mag def is classicly defined by the yellowing/light green patches between the veins (as seen in your snaps). It's a mineral that gets locked out at anything below 6.5ph or where there's too much calcium present (hardwater areas see a lot of mag lockout) and in my opinion is the sticking-point on the ph scale because we need to have the ph below 6.5 to get access to iron and manganese and I think boron or some other obscure element, but that locks out magnesium. And unfortunately mag is heavily used, unlike fe and mn.

One thing well worth bearing in mind is not to foliar-feed too often because the plant will rely les on its roots to absorb minerals, but for quick food injections here and there it's ok.

Good luck SeaBow. Keep us updated.

You might want to get some cal/mag supplement and keep it on hand just for situations like this. Cal/mag deficiencies are fairly common with certain auto strains.

I used to play a little blues harp but mostly I'm just a collector and listener, bit of a minor blues/jazz historian.
