I got a Hanna ppm meter and it works fine. I wish I would have bought the combo when I bought mine. So much less work changing meters to get all the measurements.

ok i looked at growshop.ie and found a PH meter for 60 euro (but $75) by a company called milwuakee, its a yellow jobby seems decent gonna look more into it

well i do suggest getiing the same ph tester as i have now and just doing it that way. mixed water into vile, 2 drops of liquid, match colour to chart, the guy instore gave me a free bottle of ph up, and i can use lemon juice for down so as of now my ph testing gear should of only cost MAX 25/30 euro. It will help kern because when you come on here, if ever, looking for help 90% of the time your gonna be asked ph in and ph out. i will be asking soon so i had to go get it

oh and kern, if its more suitable for ya, ebay.ie has loads of digital testers for next to nothing compared to the stores. delivery would be from the uk, look for kitbagshop.. they have every you or i could need to be ordered online

That is an interesting meter. Have you bought one, royal. I wonder if they are good at honouring their gaurantee. It might be worth giving it a shot.

ok quick update girls are starting to really shoot up nd im worried cause i have them in smallish pots and wondering what is a good age to transplant them, any way, the temp sits at a steady 21C and i water till i get run off, no ph meter yet (dont hate the player, brah, hate the game) will post up pics in a min
also can anyone tell me how long i can get away with using only these four cfl's, saving to buy 3 more atm

I think if you added 2 more you would make it through to the end. My bubbly tank uses 21 - 45 watters and is not overlit by any means. I am presently adding LEDs to my lighting rack and I think it is helping the smaller plants. They are the farthest away from the light rack as is required in my style of growing. I am really considering another smaller tank complete with everything to start the babies in to take them up to showing sex. The lights could be lower on the babies and I could control stretch better. The roots are not much of a problem and could be transferred easily to the large tank. I could start them in a less nuit intensive solution. Like maybe 450 ppm instead of 850 ppm like they get now. Vegetative groth nuits could be stressed more other than the 15-30-15 they are in now. Maybe more like 20-10=10.
