New Grower My third attempt at hydroponics and first grow journal

I know I need to get them. Been doing about 50% on nutes first 2 weeks then 25% less than recommended on nutes rest of time, and I use ph drops and color code scale to check and adjust H2O before adding nutes.
Just checked out BlueLab and for right now it’s a bit out of my budget. I’ll have to get a cheaper one for now and hope it lasts for the rest of the year. But I’ll definitely get them in January when I can stock up on supplies. In the meantime I’ll get the cheap ones to hold me over. Thanks for the 411!
Essentials brand works good and is cheaper. Good luck!

Hey all. I know it’s been a while since my last update. Life gets in the way sometimes. So here we are at day 82. Got the TDS and PH meters. Less expensive ones but they’ll do for now. Running about 900-1100 ppm and 5.7 ph. Fortunately I’m using PH Perfect from AN and this has not been a problem for me. I figure ppm is in range based on growers charts I found online for AN.
Buds are bulking up so I’m hoping for 2-3 more weeks till harvest. Just waiting for the trics to start changing color.

Let me know what you think, and as always, your advice and comments are always welcome. Until next time, keep it real!

Forgot to mention that I’ll be starting a new journal in Indoor Growers next week for my next crop.

Looking awesome, Tumbleweed!

Are you using AN overdrive for the last two weeks, TW?

Right on, man! Looking forward to seeing this phase!

Hey everyone. It’s day 92 since sprouting and day 64 of flowering. I have added what I hope to be the final dose of AN Overdrive to the NLBB. I will start using Overdrive on the American pie when I change the tanks next. American pie had an accident last week when I slipped and almost broke and entire branch from the main stalk. Fortunately there was still enough of it hanging on that I taped it up to the main stock to pull it back together. So far, so good. It looks like it hasn’t had any effect on its growth. But it has slowed down the process because of the major repair job it needs to do on itself.
I still have yet to see any yellowing of the leaves as most autos are supposed to do to signal that they’re coming to the end of their lifespan. It happened for the NLBB for a few of days last week. About the bottom 1/3 of her went almost yellow. I do not know if the overdrive had anything to do with that. Has anybody else had a similar experience? The rest of her is just fine but I did clear out all the yellow ones. So now she looks a bit thinner. I have been reading about the flushing process to make sure that I get everything out of her before I take her life and send her to her second life. Most of what I read has the consensus of flushing with plain pH’d water. When I purchased my AN nutrient bundle Flawless Finish was a part of it. I don’t think I’d be wasting my money if I didn’t use it. The size they sent me would do approximately three of my rez’s. Any thoughts as to if I should use it or not?
Anyway, here are the new pics:

Third times the charm, man! Nice buds and should be a great harvest! Awesome work man!

I plan on flushing with flawless finish. I haven’t heard any downsides and have heard where folks swear by it. Could only help is what I have decided.

So I ended up using Flawless Finish to flush my NLBB. I’ll be using pH water to flush the American Pie. I put the NLBB in darkness for 72 hours and I just finished trimming her up before I hang her up to dry. It looks like i’ll get about 2 ounces out of her which is more that I’ve gotten out of any of my previous grows. (Had the newbie blues then).I probably could’ve gotten more out of her but I’m still trying to figure out everything that needs to be done and and to try more things. so here are some pics of her. The first ones are before the trim and The next ones are after the trim:

The last photo are of the garden ties that I used to do LST on it.
So it’s off for the cut and dry I will report back when everything has been dried and weighed and I will do the tally. But whatever I get I will be happy with because I put a lot of work into all of this and I would just love for my wife and I to enjoy the fruits of my labor.
