Theories are a part of science mate :smokebuds:

I agree with you BigBuddha, i believe whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Checking the PH takes a few seconds and i'm sure it goes a long way.
I don't think BigBuddha is saying " if your not gonna PH manage don't bother growing" but doing so might be beneficial.
Sorry to interject...
:peace:

What if you check ph a thousand times and never saw any real change?

What if you have 30 or 40 pots? Should I check the runoff on all 40, every watering? My meter takes a minute to get true reading, so 40 x 1 minute = 40 minutes doubling water time. So it's out. See a problem, then check my runoff. See a problem in all 40 pots somebody is getting fired.

this is one of the main reasons i suggest that new growers don't ph unless they see a problem. your gonna make mistakes growing and its better to learn while your new then to get cocky and then have no clue whats going on.

You have a point CDC but again i'm just saying it would be beneficial. It's certainly not gonna harm the plants but it'll take its toll on your back haha.

I hear yeah. Not being a smart ass at all. Just genuine questions. Typical of the questions I ask myself everyday. It not my back, it's my time. I have a job and a family. My grow is as simple as I can possibly make it and the girls are still being neglected.

I would never tell anyone not to grow if they didn't have a way to check ph.

Neither will i, i would even encourage people to grow without any knowledge at all. But for a greater chance of survival i would advise them to have a way to check the ph (and of course read a bit on how to grow). Again i'm not saying that you can't grow if you don't check the ph or that you won't have the best results, rather it would help when you have a problem.
Saw some of your ladies man and they look amazing, great job. best of luck with the rest of your grows.
