Indoor My take on PH management

I think good advice for a new grower such as myself would be that it is possible to have a successful grow without knowing ph but knowing the ph will give you a better chance at success and make it easier to identify problems :2cents:

A) You don't need to PH manage in soil
B) You always need to PH manage in soil
These type of statements really get on my nerves. Sorry if I offended anybody. :peace:

Agreed. One thing I love about AFN is that we have loads of solid growers who get great results with very different methods. There are very few absolutes that everyone must follow.

Theories are a part of science mate :smokebuds:
All science builds on previous science, the efforts of scientists to understand why the world works the way it does. Science is an on-going process of quantitative assessment and understanding of mechanisms on which life is based.

If you change the you to an I then alls good.

Just in case there are any new growers in here that are getting confused...

Monitor your pH, period. If it is not in the desired range, adjust it. If you use tap water, that's okay, just do your best to let it sit in an open container for 24 hrs to de-clorinate. If you aerate your water, your pH will be less prone to drift while in a reservoir.

The statements above are not based on opinion any more than whether or not the earth is round or flat, without regard to whether someone wants to theorize that the world is actually flat.

I have seen a couple instances where very sophisticated growers, using TLO, have pushed through grows where they could not get their pH within normal ranges, yet managed to have stellar results. So, if the "pH isn't for everybody crowd" wants to hang their hat on that... feel free to take that long reach.

But, if you're not a sophisticated enough grower to make your own "super soil", pH monitoring and adjustment, is the most basic, essential aspect of high performance growing.

Sorry, but this debate is old and tired. :peace:

Hope some of this makes sense or someone can understand im floating on a cloud right now
Yeah you're making sense.. but I'm halfway through a fattie with jack33 & anesthesia in it.. and now I'm really struggling to think myself..

:help:

Which debate are you referring to, the one on PH that's developing or the one I'm raising about the reason there are so many arguments over it on growing forums?

They werent feed anything since sex if i want to use nutes i have to aerate bc it makes my ph level off wheres if i just add the nutes my ph flucuates all over. i have girls undre a hps and im feeding them homboldt organicsDSC00961.jpgDSC00960.jpgDSC00959.jpg
