Gnome Automatics My Journey to ALF#5

So here we have the 2 week update on the seedlings in the tent. The ALF are doing great and so are the Roxi but i do have 2 troubled little ones. Given that everything in the room is in the same soil its one of two things, genetic issues or sensitivity to something in the soil. Either way they will be left to go to see what they do but chances are male or female they will be eliminated from this rounds selection.

if its genetics... what are the odds they got planted right above one another heheheh
did you fill the pots like by the row or 2 pot columns ?? maybe a hot spot

Actually they were moved to the left today to iso late them in the case they do recover and i can make mental note of who they are. The soil was all from the same bin and mixed on tarps. So i try to eliminate hot spots that way.

Im leaning towrads genetics, but i have also see the same thing as a sensitivity to colder temps or right after a light switch over.from veg to bloom. Im not 100% yet what it is but i have an idea. Its why i havent culled them yet not ready to quite give up on them.

Probably just the genetics, comes with the territory I suppose! Give them time, seedlings do funny things and more often than not it seems turn out to be awesome plants.

I agree, and i am going to let them do their thing and see what happens.

Until i figure out the 2 little ones that are yellowing, i have ID'd the first plant to enter the breeding program. Male or female this one will be used in some shape or fashion in the ALF#5 F3 production. One thing I look for is leaf number count. I dont know why, but it seems when i roll that way i get further from the rudi 5 leaf footprint. Some of my JEM and other JEM dom lines dont get far past the 7 leaf trait. I like seeing fans with 9-11 and even 13 fingers and looking at this ones start pattern, i could see some high finger count fans....this one went 1-5 instead of 1-3 and its balanced on both sides.

Hi FD
I would pollinate a few buds of the plants you have trouble with. If they are sensitive keep a look to your feeding plan. It could be that other genes are also dominant and you don't want to lose great genetics.

Good moring @tobe !

There is something going on in there, i dont think that its quite a feeding issue. The soil is all the same, the seed was all from the same round and age. They are still growing as of right now so i wont cull them. Its hard to tell really what is going on with them at such a young age. I actually havent fed them anything more than a root stimulate.

The color is coming back into them i think that its just a weird stage for them at this point. Ill never cull one too early unless its just not growing.

Hi FD
I will follow you to see whats going on with these little babys. It would be interesting to see how they develop. I got the same in one of my breeding project and the weak plants in the start take a bit longer but got more terpene then the other who looking better at the start.

Happy growing and breeding
