Your soil is older than my children! ;)

So do you grow multiple strains in the same bucket? If so, you feed them all the same I'm assuming.. never ran into an issue with that?

I have a simple method of growing that has given me good results over the years. Thought I might share it with everyone. I am a disabled woman and it's hard to mix soil and dispose of soil etc.

I am using large plastic tubs with no holes, so my watering must be done carefully. I have three rubbermaid tubs that I split a gallon of water....everyday.

My soil never "rest". I replant the tubs as soon as I harvest. I leave most roots behind when I harvest.

I use very cheap ferts since I live on disability. I have found epsoma products to be cheap and effective.

The soil in my tubs is 7 years old...with no rest or sturing...just chop and replant. I am going to rock that same soil as long as possible.

Right now I have some auto hindu kush and jems going.

Thanks for stopping by!

Are you still shaving that coin pouch, and having worms in those bins.? good to see ya around dykster...

That may be a bad sign... not the coin pouch, the worms.. are you adding any organics to the bins? I have used bins inside, and recycled the promix, I usually dump them out and throw out the root mass in the bottom and add new... I also did them with holes and without... absolutely no difference but I also know how to not over water...and over fert..

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Here is Bluestreak ready for chopping and some babies growing up in their tub. I start my seed in paper towles and then move them directly into the tubs and the rest is history...lol

Growing in bins is one thing I haven't done yet. I have a very limited area too. Between your results and Wiz's, I'm thinkin' it might just be time for me to give that a whirl... BTW, that BlueStreak is scary lookin'.

Very very nice dykster 7 year old soil in the same bin very impressive i'm all about recycling soils but you just took it to the next level rep+.

Happy Growing

I love what you're doing, Dykster. I followed your posts over on IC Mag and decided to try something similar. All my plants died!! At first I thought I overwatered them - you said you had to be careful about that - but now I think I might have had heat issues as I recently discovered I've been using a dodgy thermometer, so maybe I'll try again now that that's fixed. Your method of using a big container for lots of plants really appeals to me (and that Bluestrerak in the picture looks amazing).

What kind of light do you use now?

Thanks clyde...I use 2 x 400.

I usually only run one strain per tub, but sometimes I have had two, due to testing. I top dress my soil with worm castings, peat moss, epsoma Plant tone, blood and bone. I mix fish poop and guano's with water.
