ya all it takes is sumone walking by and they smell it and they report it. i mean anybody can go to your door at any time for any reason and you would never think that they would be the one to report you. a carbon filter is a must. hell the ups man or mail man are the ones that evryone overlooks. like i said all it takes is smell or a call about a smell to have probable cause. but thats just my :2cents: take it from the old timmers you never think your gonna get busted till their at your door. and if your in a state that doesnt have medical mmj or is looking into it, well those cops are gonna bust as many as they can b4 their bosses tell them to lay off. hell tenn. has vowed never to change their mmj laws till the feds make them:smokeit:

I love the title of this thread... + rep just for being a noob and simultaneously being man enough to admit it.
We've all been there, I started growing way back as a highschool kid tossing handfuls of bagseed around out in the woods...
Trust me, you're off to a good start.

Hi guys,

thought id give my :2cents: - what about ONA Blocks ??

Im on day 48 - have to admit that my strain AutoMazar is not much of a stinker, however this could also be due to the blocks, buoght one and punched 2 holes in it and placed it in my grow room.

NO MORE SMELLS - all for around $ 15 !!!

http://www.onaonline.com/prod-onablock.html Id go for the PRO one, thats the one I got.

Alright you all have convinced me I will start to consider smell. I'd like to check out that ONA block its much more reasonable. Are you just using one?

I'd be very surprised if ona block can kill the smell of a fully flowering plant, they stink and even tho I use a carbon filter I sometimes get the occasional tiny whiff of weed..

As stated, I use Ona, though it is not something I would recommend unless it's appropriate for one's own unique situation. One word of caution for anyone using Ona for the first time. As the grow proceeds, you will need more Ona. It starts out like gang-busters, but fades in efficacy. So, it has to be refreshed (in the case of liquid) or replaced (in the case with blocks) more fequently than we are often led to believe. I was led to believe a quart of Ona would be plenty to get through a grow... NOT! But, I can get through a grow effectively, with a little less than a gallon.

How much does a gallon cost?

Update: borrowed an electronic PH tester, I'm running 6.7 all around which seems good. The T5 is 10" over the plant. There are small yellow spots on the leaves still (faint), and the two newest bottom leaves have started to brown and curl. I'm just leaving it be and waiting for the soil to completely dry out before watering. The seed in the other pot never germinated so I dug it up and it was too soggy and dead. I suppose I am over watering (too excited). I put another seed in there and hopefully it'll pop up soon. :)

A gallon of ZAP from Lowe's is about 15 dollars Muddy, it's not bad.. it'd handle 3 plants, but in the room you'll still smell it.

There's a thread on another forum to make an ONA air cleaner with a 19.99 fan from Amazon.. I've made a couple of mini ones with PC fans and scattered them in rooms to test them when smoking or the likes. It works decently, but the really stinky plants will overpower the ONA every few days.
