Hey all, sweet forum.

1 year back I got some white widow seeds from a seed bank so I decided to grow them. I plopped one of them in a pot of dirt from my back yard and then did research online (I didn't know much).

I found mites after it sprouted so I quickly threw all the dirty stuff out and got some miracle grow- after telling people this and watching all three of them cringe I got some nice Fox Farm dirt

My current set up:

1) Aerogarden lamp only 19/5 cycle
2) Fan on/off every half hour
3) Expensive grow nutes (1/8th strength)
4) Fox Farm ocean breeze

PH is around 6 (shitty drop tester)

The plant is two weeks old. Im afraid I stunted growth with two transplants, and that is not good for auto flower, but I think I'll go with it to see what happens. There is some light yellowing on the two oldest leaves, but it doesn't look to bad and the rest of the plant is beautiful. Is it small for its age?

I' think Ive learned a lot (we'll see ;)) from lurking around here. Tell me what you think.

When I get some cash I want to get a real light. I just stuck another seed in the pot you see with nothing in it. Its been a wild ride so far. Its name is Planty.

Welcome to AFN

Here is my suggestions run a 20/4 light cycle
Fans on 24/7
Back off the nutes, to me it looks burned "ocean breeze" :smoke: has enough nutes for at least 3-4 weeks. The plant looks to be about a week old.

I guess I renamed the soil Ocean Breeze- is much classier anyway. Thanks for advice on fan and nutrients. I'll get right to it!

The plant is exactly 2 weeks old from sprout. I'm late then

Yeah, you definitely don't need to be adding any ferts right now.

The plant is nice and green. :D I'm not familiar with the Aerogarden lamp. What type bulb and wattage does it have?

You need to let that youngster rehab a little from the two transplants. I know I transplanted too many times my first grow. It'll be stunted some, but nothing terminal has happened yet. :peace:

What kind of light do I want if I want to grow 3 plants and heat is an issue?

Pretty sure it has two 36watt cfls

What you have is a little bit more than the minimum for one plant, IMHO.

If you're going to grow more than one in that same space, you would probably be best off going with an LED... somewher around 80w, I would think. There are people on here, Muddy, Tshirt, and others who would be much better to get advice from than me on LED's.

Welcome aboard! Given the rough start, looks like it's hanging in there. It's a bit young for nutes, though. That could be a reason for the yellowing.

Why do I want the fan on all the time? I just switched the light cycle!

How much you run the fan has to do with ventilation and heat dissipation.

Personally, I would turn the fan around and use it as an exhaust fan using a passive intake (hole) on the other side.

You all are brilliant, it's like you've done this before....

So you think this will move enough air to keep the fresh float in over them shiny little leaves? And what is wind burn?
