Grow Mediums My First Grow DWC Black Cream All Help is appreciated

Don't beat your self up over it bro, shit happens. The best lessons I learned about growing was from my own mistakes. I'd ditch that setup and drip ring, it's really not needed. Get you a dark colored 5 gallon bucket and a 6" net pot lid. I'd also recommend insulating it, if res temps can't be kept at around 68-70 without it. Better luck on the auto blueberry.
Thanks I know I'll get better. I just need to keep working at it. What would be something good to insulate it with? Well I scrubbed the rest of the drip ring off, and got all of the paint off of it so I could use it. Is it worth it or no? I offered the two gallon bucket to my friend for a birthday present, and a few more things like the crystal ph up and down and a tester fluid since I have two. I figured he might have fun with it.

Hey beagle, dont worry man. I gave DWC a stab and blew it bad on my first attempt. It truely is an artform, and not for everyone. I was so pissed at myself, I gave up on it for now, until I get my nerve back. Please dont give up on it!!! I will get er done one day, but at the present, I have a tent full of soil grown plants. You can do this!!! These fine dwc folks are top notch and they WILL help you to become a better grower!!! These folks grow freakin trees in these 5 gallon buckets!!! Whats not to like and Love about that??? :peace:
At least I'm not the only one. It is very difficult, but I had a lot of fun even though I messed up. I won't give up thank you. I won't make the same mistake again. I've seen I figure this is the only place worth learning from.

insulation from Homedepot, its called reflectix. buy a small roll of it some twine or sticky velcro to hold it together. Jackal knows his stuff, and gives some great ideas along with all of the hydro folks. You are right, the knowledge base and helpful response from everyone here, makes this website the best in cannabis!!!:peace:

Hey bro, I don't mean to bombard you with photo's but I wanted to share with you my first attempt with DWC. I started with 2 Blue Dreams and lost one and almost lost both in veg. I was having issues with ph. Once I nailed it to 5.7 and stabilized it things started to turn for the better. Once I got into bloom I increased to 5.8-5.85 and it exploded. As you can see in the photo's how bad the leaves were in veg. and how well it looks now. Vira helped me through it and I am crazy about DWC now and building a 12 site RDWC. So this shows with some patience and time you can get a bad plant to turn around and start to look good. I also am running GH Micro, Grow, Bloom and Kool Bloom with cal-mag and Silica. I keep my ph to 5.8ish and my ppm's are hitting 1500 2 weeks into bloom with no issues. Im not saying every strain can handle this but Blue Dream is a hungry strain. I am pretty much running all the base nutrients and Kool Bloom at full strength with no nutrient burn... Hope this help you keep your head up about DWC because it is really fun once you nail it. I mean look at the BD beside it in front of the dehumidifier. It is a clone taken the same day as the one in DWC and its half the size if that and not nearly as many bud sites and branching going on.

Thanks. How high should the ppms typically be in an auto flower solution?
I love hearing about grows. The more mistakes and solutions I hear the better. Thank you
