CC Day 104 BDM Day 79

Frosty is the key word for the day! (week, month...)
Watered today with aftw pH 6.1 BDM 1L each and CC 1.8L
Nice calm day in the garden. Spent some time looking at CC with the 30x and 60x loupe. I only saw two or three ambers and probably about 65% cloudy. In the second week of water only, I may have started this too soon but at 100 days she's been going a long time for a 70 day avg. plant. I'll keep watching the leaves and trichomes, may not harvest just yet.
BDM looking great, no amber yet, some of the fan leaves are getting a wee bit yellow. They took the recent feeding nicely.
Busy planning next grow and my grow room.

thank Tx, I really do get carried away! I appreciate the kind words.

briman, happy cleaning! It'll be worth it. Having as much fun taking pictures and playing with the scope thing as the rest of growing it! Save a few closet cleanings for a small slave flash. Multiple flashes make a big difference, adding drama and a more 3-D look.

Snow day!
Man 58yo and still getting a giggle out of an unexpected day off! Shoveled twice already though and expect a good couple inches more yet to come down. So I checked my drying budlet from BDM and there was enough dried bits. Mmmm fun. Different, more to the body. I am getting a bit more used to it as well. Although three tiny hits and... Got me in the mood to goof with the microscope some more.
This is what I made.

Edit: OK getting boring, I know... Just enthusiastic still I guess.

Brother, you crack me up big time.
Every time I look at your photography skills, and well the subject matter, I am in awe.:tiphat:
The growing in and of itself is such a great hobby.

I don't smoke much anymore. For the most part I ingest it, but it does take a considerable amount of bud/hash to do that to any extent. Talk about a nice long pain and/or anxiety reliever though. When I titrate with too high of a dose/s, I do get uncomfortably high though.

:Sharing One:

Thank You! Brother!! Makes me happy that you get a charge out of my silliness and enthusiasm. You are so right about how much I enjoy growing and every other aspect. I certainly hope I do not loose that part of it. I don't think I will. Some things come and go, others stay with me. Kind of like my career in IT. It was 25 years ago I bought a PC for my photography business. I closed shop almost that week and dedicated myself to working with them, here I am still at it. Audio and building gear, been fiddling with that since my teens. This too has the same feeling for me, one of immense satisfaction!

I like the vaporizing. As you know by now it has been quite some time since I last indulged so I am having a great time just "catchin' a buzz"! I really got started for medicinal reasons though and look forward to making some just for eating and making oil. Next grow is Stone Dragons just for this reason. Look forward to seeing just what pharma I can cut down on and/or eliminate! It already has proven to help with the shoulder pain and I think the depression is lessening. Insomnia, type 2 diabetes, and blood pressure left to go!!

You are obviously one who enjoys learning all the time, as do I. There is obviously no end to learning to grow our beloved plant. Even though I have only been growing for 7 months myself, and can see doing this until the day I take my last breath. My list of genetics that are already available would already take me the rest of my life to grow. Not to mention creating our own crosses. And it seems like everyday, I read about different modalities of growing. And who knows what new lighting technologies will come down the pike.

I was able to get off of high doses of pharmaceutical pain meds with Cannabis, and I have found it definitely combats depression better than all of the anti-depressants that I had tried over the years. I will be shocked if those SDs don't help tremendously with your insomnia. I will be anxious to see how Cannabis may works on your blood pressure as well over time.

I just made a big batch of Cocoanut Oil infused with PK x MD, best pain/anxiety strain I have used to make it with to date.

Have a great Friday my friend!

Good morning gardeners!
All is well in stinkyland this morning. Harvest time is becoming all consuming now. I want to harvest and dry in an all together perfect fashion here!!I am now obsessed with the trichomes and what stage they are currently presenting. To this end I trimmed another off CC, a bit bigger this time. I'll set up under the scope and see what is going on. Also have to admit, it is nice having a wee bit about the place that I can use as necessary.

StickMan, Brother, you got that right. If I stop learning, stick a fork in, turn me over, I'm done! Like yourself I see myself growing until the bus hits hits me and I am gone from this planet! I too have I nice list of genetics, thanks to a generous friend! Those should keep me growing for some time!!! I hope to produce a few beans myself here and pay it forward shortly...

yo man can't wait for the pictures. Have u decided on whether you'll hang dry or paper bag dry? I'd be real interested to know ur thoughts on both although im sure you'll get incredible flavour quickly whatever method the colours look bad ass

Wow you're letting go for so long!! You will definitely be happy with the results :tiphat:

CC Day 107 BDM Day 82
Good Morning Gardeners!
Whew, long day yesterday! Went to visit the father in law early, got home late. Garden is looking good and definitely showing signs of coming to a close. CC is finally yellowing a bit here and there. Put that trimmed bud under the scope and it looks about 80% cloudy still did not see any ambers. If things keep up harvest this week. BDM is coming to an end as well according to the leaves, still need to check trichomes.
Hope to find the time for some photographs tonight. Lot of work to do, not being home all day yesterday. I need to get a hermetically sealed environment to harvest and trim in. Speaking of harvest and trimming. I am looking for some pointers here. I trimmed all of two baby buds so far and that was a bit of a chore. The resin is soo sticky it makes it hard to deal with and the scissors won't open after two three snips! I am sure I'll get the hang of it, but any tips are welcome!!

greenzilla, thanks dude! Photographs are coming soon! I am going to follow hansbricks suggestion and dry in paper bags and see how that goes. I have 62% Boveda packs for the jars, I got quart mason jars to hold the dried stuff. Getting closer every day and the excitement is getting intense!

killer- ya the are going on for a long time aren't they!! I have been keeping an eye on the leaves and trichomes and doing what they tell me and they say "I'm not dead"!! Soon though, real soon!

The BDM budlet I snipped was dry and then set in a jar with the Boveda pack for two days. It ground up nicely but was still sticky as all. Filled the trench of the MFLB and proceeded to take a few hits. Smooth had a nice green flavor but not much more than that, I got very high, it was quite colorful for a 20-30 minutes and I enjoyed the music, listened to a nice 2nd set from 5-21-82 for a while. I was anxious and a bit restless after that for a while too. It calmed down a bit and was enjoyable. For pain it was about a 5 out of 10 my shoulder felt a good bit better the dull constant ache was diminished but the acute movement pain was not. a 4 for the insomnia, it did not help to sleep but did enable me to sleep through the night instead of waking after 4-5 hours a definite plus. It's nice to have some "smoke" again!! And it's very cool to focus in on the medical aspects.
