New Grower My 1st Grow, A journey...

Man is this stuff fun? Or what?!? Added another small fan for circulation, put it next to the other one and redirected them. This should allow all of the plants to receive a nice breeze instead of one side being blown about and the other not really getting much. Sprayed a good bit with pH'd water. Everything is looking green and nice. Really do not see any further vertical growth on CC so it's flowering nutrient time!
I hope you all aren't tired of all my pictures yet (funny I call them pictures on this forum so as not to confuse photo with photo-period). I just can't believe sometimes that these beauties are growing, much less in my very own basement!! I stare at them and just smile to myself. Ya I know corny, huh! But still...
So without further ado.
Oh!! and check out CC, is that some frosty-ness I see???!!!

CC and possibly some frosty bits

Hey, those are your KIDS, man!
(The following may not be relevant if you don't have any...)
How many times you go to the kids bedroom when they were little, just to watch them sleep and wonder, "Look at 'em! How the HELL did I NOT screw that up?"?

Same thing!!
:smoke:

Yes, yes they are!
I have five actual, two are mine and live with mom, 3 are my wife's. Oldest 27 youngest 19, one still at home, or back at home, school romm and board was to much for him!! And they are doing great, proud of them, very proud.
Here's a pic of my latest "kid" Bob. You know the one that ate my first plant, well chewed her up a bit anyways...

Bob, on his way to the garden with me.

CC Day 57 BK Day 47 BDM day 31
Temp 80 RH 62
Additional fan seemed to have changed the temp profile. Must have had hotspot or something. Unless I bumped the thermostat again,,, temp was 87 about an hour after I closed it up last night. Made an adjustment and it settled to 80. I'll have to keep an eye on it. Doesn't help the thermostat is so touchy on the heater.
Plants look good. CC is definitely not getting any taller, BDM are growing well, BK no sex yet but doing nicely none the less.

Nudged the thermostat down a bit, hope to hit 77 again. Amazing the difference the additional fan made, guess the circulation needed tweaking. I added a hanging socket with two 2700k 23W CFLs. Not bad socket, Y, and cord cot about 6 bucks and got the bulbs on sale 6 for $3.32, nice!! Also swapped out four of the eight in my fixture with 2700k bulbs. We are in flowering mode now folks! Well with the exception of BK who while no sex showing yet is still a bushy girl and growing well. CC is still amazing me, I must have counted 25-30 bud sites before I lost count and at least half are the main sites too. This is the one I thought I would never see, the one my cat chewed, the very first seed. BDM getting bigger too!

WTG Willie! It's amazing how resilient they can be AND how picky! Need to get your boy, Bob, a catnip ball so he'll leave "The Adult Herbs" alone! LOL!

CC Day 58 BK Day 48 BDM day 32
Temp 80 RH 62
Way late this day, was going to say morning until I saw the clock! Just got back from shopping, wanted to get out early and get everything we needed for next week. Got a houseful coming so bought a ton of food.
Garden looking good, raised the LED up, hope it's high enough, cannot get much higher. We'll see.
Planning on feeding today, bloom for CC and veg for the rest. Also going to add another two 23W 2700k CFLs for a total of 19,200 lumen of CFL no idea the PAR though and the 240W LED. I may add another 4 CFL but that should be enough.

Edit:
3:00PM
Just finished feeding and adding that light. Took a picture of the "lab" thought it may be interesting to some. Remember it's in my still to get finished cleaning basement... I use pipettes and a graduated cylinder to measure and a TDS meter for ppm and my pH meter of course. I have also started to calibrate the pH meter with calibration solution each session to insure accurate readings. Makes for an interesting time mixing up my feed water. I do enjoy it though, mad scientist indeed!!

Willie looking good as usual I love the mad scientist part of my gardening and seeing them daily especially during flower. My life has been a little crazy so I haven't been able to "putter" as you say I am usually good for a two hours to do what can be done in half hour easily I love my girls thanks for sharing yours with us and we never tire of pics!!

Another day done! Fed everyone CC received her first dose of flowering nutrients. To aftw I added 2.1ml Fusion Bloom to ppm of 411, 1.1ml of Supercharger to a ppm of 179, and 1ml of CaMg+ to a ppm of 150 Ph was 6.1 so I did not adjust as the recommended pH for flowering is 6.0 - 6.2. I gave her 2 liters only just a few ml of run off, did not pH test. The rest shared a gallon of aftw with 4.9 ml of CaMg+ to a ppm of 153, 4 ml of Fusion Grow to a ppm of 306, and 4 ml of supercharger for a ppm of 141. Here's hoping all goes as planned.
Thanks RP, taking the time to work on the garden and the concentration the "lab" needs is very relaxing. Look forward to it each day, and my journal as well. Oh and pictures, lot's of pictures. It's really cool to look at the progression through the weeks.
And speaking of pictures... I am glad you asked!!

CC main cola, progressing nicely and YES she is getting frosty!

Bk is green and soooo bushy...
DSC_0182_zps05557dc8.jpg

Speaking of bushy, I have been concentrating on the autos and not worrying about 12/12 or anything a photo would need. Here is my question. Do I need to put a photo period plant into 12/12 for it to show sex? BK looks green and happy but just won't show sex, so is this why?
