Yup, even if only temporarily. Photos require the change of photoperiod to show. Now, you can flop them back to veg once it shows if you like, just remember, it's stressful to the plant. Remember also she's gonna grow a lot more during bloom, so consider your space requirements. I read most indoor growers (and myself included on photos) only let them get a foot or two tall then the flip. For myself, I've gone with near half the available height then flip, but then I've ALWAYS topped or LST'd and bushed them. Sativa, that is, not Indica. When you flip, bring it down slow over a few days. I've heard of some put them in the dark for 24-48 hours before turning the lights back on at 12/12, but that sounds fairly stressful. I guess it helps speed up the process...

"If you want your marijuana plants to start pre-flowering just change the light cycle to 12 hours on and 12 hours of complete darkness. This convinces the plant that the days have got shorter and now is the time to flower.
Think about how plants are in their natural environment, they start off in early spring, grow through the later stages of spring and all of summer and when fall comes and the days start to get shorter the plant begins to flower. So you move from a 24 or 18 hour vegging light system to 12 hours on and 12 hours off.
Although, while waiting for plants to flower can seem to take forever, once your plants truly enter the flowering stage their growth rate can be stunning. Growth patterns and nutrient requirements will change. The vigorous vegetative growth will slow, stems will elongate and flower formation will begin rapidly at first before slowing. If you are growing hydroponically you should now be using the bloom or flowering mix of hydroponic nutrients. If you are growing in soil you should add a fertilizer that is high in phosphorous and potassium such as ‘Super Bloom’."
