It's day 44 on the Bk, thought I would do a little update on her. I think she is pretty close to finishing her stretch. She is going to come in just shy of 2ft. She seems to have a Cal and or Mag deficiency going on. You can see it in some of her lower leaves and she has purple streaks in her stems and branches. Tomorrow will be her first dose of bloom nutes. I would normally feed her 5ml/gal of calnesium (2-0-0) at this time but I am going to half that does and give her 1tsp/gal of Epsom salt to see if I get better results fighting off this deficiency.

This isn't my first time battling cal/mag but I have never won the war, rather just come to a stalemate. Hopefully Epsom salt is the answer. So if this is a bad Idea, someone stop me lol, you have 24 hours before I water !

They're both looking fantastic, nice size and shape!

I'm running into CalMag issues myself right now on my younger plants so am upping my ProCal (2-0-0) as well. I'll be watching closely to see how the Epsom Salt works for you, please keep us posted.

Thx Mavadines. The smaller one, a blue auto maz I spent a lot of time bending and playing around with trying to get an even canopy and multiple tops. I didn't really achieve what I wanted from her and I think I stunted her in the process. It was so much easier just giving the BK a little haircut and it actually seemed much less stressful on the plant and I think a much better result.
I will make sure to update the results of the Epsom salts. I was doing a little reading on the red stems and branches, In my case it could be the cooler temps in my tent. They do dip down to 66 sometimes when the lights are out. Lights on around 73-75.

I know sometimes the red stems and branches can be genetic as well. I had that on my CBD Sativa Photos I ran and noticed it in some other photos of the same strain online.

I've resorted to less playing around as well and just letting them grow. I did a small A/B test on the 4 Sativa clones (mentioned above) I recently harvested. One I LST'd and the other 3 just let them grow. Despite the visual appearance I averaged 20% more on the NON-LST'd plants even though they looked smaller. And that was consistent, all 3 were at least 20% heavier.

I had some goodies arrive in the mail today. A little package from Dinafem. Thank you Mark.

Love the shirt. There will be a spot opening up in my tent next week, I am thinking one of those OG Kush seeds might like to spend some time in the tent next to some Cheese.

Yea I think the LST is a bit of an art. I don't have it down and I don't really get better results with it compared to the plants that I just let grow naturally with just minor LST towards then end of their stretch.

I do really see potential with this BK that I have fim'd . I cant wait to see the results with her.

Hello fellaz. I was never good at lst either, always pissed my plants off. Gonna get back into it for outdoor tho. Hey red stems can from cold like you said making P harder to uptake. Also low potassium but im guessing your bk is genetic because this is my second og kush doing same thing. Maybe kush genes, idk. But just my opinion bro if u put hps in now ur plants will stretch more. U can look at manufacturer specs on ur bulb, there all different. This is my eye hortilux blue compared to my hps you can see gets more of all specs.

this is just me and what i do is i put hps in around day 50 or so depending on what stage she at. I wait till all stretch is done. Just my opinion. Oh yeah you boys got some catchin up to do lol. She be 3ft by tonight lmao. This was last night.
